This cottage was amazing. Love how quiet and quaint it was. Everything was clean, easily accessible, and beautiful. Will definitely be returning for another stay! My friends and I could not have been more pleased!

My friends and I came here last year, and loved it so much that we came back. Again, very pleased at the quality of this cottage! Had an incredible time!
We had a relaxing stay with a beautiful scenery. The kids had a lot of fun on the water in the canoe, row boat, swimming and fishing.

Location is wonderful , private with direct access to the lake . The property is very nice especially the living dining area next to the deck, perfect for large group. May benefit from some maintenance but overall is a wonderful cottage. Host is super responsive and helpful which was really appreciated. We had a memorable and wonderful stay with the family - would book again and would recommend .
The property is beautiful, loved the house and decor. The dock and lake access were perfect and communication was efficient. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the cleanliness wasn't great. I was even unsure whether they had someone cleaning the place until I saw her before we left.

The check-in process was fine. The kitchen was well-equipped. However, and this is a big however, it was not stated that *we need to bring our own drinking water!* We booked for the whole week and we are a family of six. We had to drive a half hour away to pick up bottled water. We thought that the entire place was air-conditioned as per the way it was advertised. There were air conditioners for the main area on each floor, but neither of them was working. There were plenty of fans, but the bedrooms got very hot. A bunch of lightbulbs were either very dim or missing altogether. There were a bunch of lifejackets, but they were in poor condition and if 14 people can sleep there then there should be more life jackets, and a better variety of sizes. The whole process to get rid of garbage is very annoying, but that can’t be blamed on the owner. The lake is beautiful and very quiet. The boats are decent. The beds were comfortable and the place was pretty clean. The bath towels were very small. The barbecue was powerful and did a good job. I also would have expected the owner to check in on us maybe halfway through the stay to find out how everything is going.

Nice enough but not amazing
We had a seamless process booking and checking in. The owner let us know the oven had died and was on-site trying to repair it when we arrived but he had advised us beforehand so it wasn’t a surprise. He left us with a toaster oven to make do in the meantime. The next day he returned with a replacement oven.
The house was not quite as advertised. The photos must be from when it was listed a few years ago, so there was more random stuff against the walls, etc. The view wasn’t quite as advertised either since the foliage has been neglected since it was listed and has grown up quite considerably. There’s also no indication of long trip down to the water on stairs made out of decking, logs, rocks, etc. Thankfully none of us had accessibility issues or this would have been a major problem.
We found the kitchen was supplied fairly adequately but could use some essentials like a milk container, cheese grater, etc.
None of our group found the beds to be comfortable at all, except for the kids! Haha! However, the the top bunk that my kids were sharing cracked along the front; thankfully no one was hurt.
The main living area (kitchen/living/dining room) does not have a bathroom. So you have to go upstairs for it. And if you’re down at the water, it’s a very long trek up all the stairs outside and then another flight when you reach the house! It’s too bad that there’s no washroom on that level.
It was just okay. We enjoyed the week overall but likely will not return.
