About this property

Big Fully Equipped 3BR Near Beach & 12 min to Town. Very Quiet. No Neighbours!

"Our home is situated on a private, landscaped lifestyle block near Riverton.
It is close to the beautiful Waimatuku River Mouth (5 min). 15 min from Invercargill and 12 min to Riverton.
It is so quiet all you can hear are the cows mooing, birds singing, and waves crashing in the distance.

We have renovated the interior but kept it in keeping with the 100 year style.

This is our haven and holiday home and is very well equipped and comfortable.

Visitors always comment on waking up to birdsong.
The house has two toilets.
It is fully insulated and very warm and fully modernised interior with all the country charm and character intact.

You can fish nearby.
Visit the beach
Kayak on the river
Mountain Bike to the river moth.


Be aware that this is a country house and we use a septic tank.
This has limited capacity and you can not use water as you would in town.
Limit baths (a shower is better) and do not use the washing machine and Dishwasher for small frequent loads.
Please do not leave the windows open with the lights on, as you will attract moths and insects.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Great rural setting. Very quiet pleasant stay

The house is older style but in very good condition. Good wood burner which kept us warm in the cool evenings.We appreciated the muffins on arrival.

The cottage was very comfortable with plenty of space and excellent facilities, especially kitchen and laundry. Unfortunately, the weather was dreadful so we were unable to explore the local area as we only were only there for one night, but the location was extremely convenient for our drive the next day. We did not meet Gary but he was very helpful when we had an issue with entry to the property due to a technical glitch on the VRBO website (not his fault).

Nice and quiet area, Gary has done a great job in renovating this lovely home. Comfortable beds. We went in winter so it can get a little cool at nights with high ceilings and big rooms - easily overcome with an extra jumper though. Gary was an exceptional communicator, very quick to respond and even passed on the codes before we left Tasmania for our holiday, which smoothed the process no end!
