Mariners Retreat - by Latitude South Coast
Mariners Retreat is the ideal accommodation all year round. The slow combustion fireplace is perfect for those cosy winter nights, and the air-con and ceiling fans will keep you cool in summer. A short walk to the end of the street takes you to the beach, or just a few steps across the road you're at the leafy park. You can even walk to the local shopping centre. This is the perfect location!

The master bedroom with ensuite is a parents retreat, as it is located on the upstairs level of the home and has direct access to the sunny deck, complete with sun lounges. On the lower level are three further bedrooms, two bathrooms (one being an ensuite), and laundry. The lower split level features the open plan kitchen, living and dining rooms, as well as the front deck with a beautiful outlook. On the back deck there is a covered Bbq with an outdoor dining table. The back yard is fully fenced, so is ideal for families wishing to bring their pet dog on holidays.

The large open plan, light filled fully equipped kitchen with huge island bench creates a space where guests can gather to prepare meals. The kitchen is central between the dining area, the lounge and fireplace and another seating area. The kitchen features a Nespresso coffee machine and quality cooking appliances.

The open plan kitchen, dining and living spaces open out to the undercover deck with an outdoor lounge. From here you can watch your kids playing in the park across the road. Sit on the deck and enjoy a drink while talking to the chef in the kitchen through the servery/bar window. The lounge area with fireplace has a Smart Tv where guests can settle in and stream movies (using their own streaming service).
L O C A T I O N
The location is ideal for families being a short 5 minute stroll to the local shops (Coles, cafes, bakery, butcher, bottle shop and toy shop) and is across the road from a park with kids play equipment. Just a two minute stroll to the beach and shared bike and walking path which takes you to Plantation Point or into Huskisson (with plenty more beaches to visit along the way)

Beautifully equipped house, in a great location.
The house was lovely, very well equipped and in the perfect location, Dolphins in The Bay at the bottom of the street and very close to Coles and small shopping centre.We had a slow moving drain in one of the showers, the property manager came out within an hour of messaging them to fix the issue. Our only gripe was the WFI dropped out a few times and the TV in the bedroom only had 2 channels. Other than that everything was perfect. A welcome bottle of wine, milk and coffee pods were a lovely touch arriving at night and walking in the house to a gorgeous blazing wood fire was perfect after driving down from Sydney in the rain.

Great choice for a short or longer break
If you have an extended family of 3 couples and 2 children (max) then this property is definitely for you. It has a great living, cooking and dining space that is seriously well equipped. There is no air conditioning in this area but tbh even though one of the 3 ceiling fans was broken during our stay it was perfectly fine, even in 34 degree temperatures.It has a good position near the beach, plenty of outdoor space and plenty of parking. Don’t look behind the sofas or the beds or those not so obvious places because you know what you will find but the important places were very clean. I would much prefer the loos, floors, sinks, showers and surfaces were clean than to have dust and cobweb free shutters (although both would be nice). We thought it ticked all the important boxes but if you want every fan, lamp and electric device to work and you want perfect soft furnishings then good luck finding anywhere better.We enjoyed our stay and we would return for sure. temperatures

It’s an excellent spacious modern home that easily accommodates 8 people. Easy walking distance to Collingwood beach and short drive to Coles/shops.
The main bedroom upstairs doesn’t have privacy, guests downstairs can see them from ground level because of the window overlooking the lounge. There is no door to that bedroom so absolutely no privacy, though it is a spacious room. The ensuite door swings back and forth all the time so noisy at night when you are trying to sleep. The same problem with the ensuite downstairs, door swings back and forth causing noise. It’s an early check out, 10am and late check in, 3pm, which is a bit unfair. Even at 3pm cleaners were still mopping the house and rushing to finish off the cleaning, we walked in on wet floors. I would say though location and proximity to beach is great, literally 2 minute walk to the beach and walking trail. The kitchen is fully equipped with lots of supplies, which I thought was very considerate, things like milk, condiments, garbage bags, condiments etc and a great coffee machine. If they can fix those few issues in the house, it will be a great property.
