Perfect get away

Great location and the cabin is exactly as advertised. Management answered the phone when we called about a maintenance issue and we were please with the fast courteous response! Can’t wait to come back!!

Beautiful home with lake views

This is a beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable cabin. My family really enjoyed seeing the stars and lake from the rooftop deck, and the selection of snacks left for us by the owner! The public boat ramp right across the street was super convenient. Definitely would stay here again the next time we visit PK.

Beautiful property, well appointed, good communication with management. Told to take garbage out, but not told Huerta. Had to wander around property carrying garbage bag looking for where to put it. Also head to strip beds, not typical for VRBO in my experience.

Will come back again!

The cabin was fully updated. Furniture was comfortable. Internet TV for those that want to watch or keep in touch with sports and news. Perfectly located across the street from a boat ramp. Awesome rooftop patio and covered patio for a family and friends. Pellet grill works like a charm. Will definitely come back here again. Very quiet and safe community.

Nice area but looked more secluded online but wasn’t. Also wasn’t the cleanest and needed TVs in the other rooms like most other places so that the kids could watch those. Outside area was very dirty and could not use.

We apologize if you experienced any issues during your stay. -The cabin is professionally cleaned after each visit and it’s also cleaned again by the owner before each new booking. We wished you would have reached out to us during your stay. We would've been more than happy to send our cleaning team to address your concerns to make your stay more comfortable. -Thank you for the suggestion. We will consider adding a 3rd television to the bunk room. -Regarding the deck, we’ve placed a blower on the back porch to keep the area nice and tidy so guests can enjoy the space. -We’ve also added an aerial photo of The Retreat and its 17 cabins so that one might have a better understanding of the development. Thanks for letting us know about your stay."

Our group of nine just returned from five relaxing and fun-filled days at The Retreat in Possum Kingdom, Texas. Cabin 17 was spacious enough for our large group, comfortable in every way, spotlessly clean, and exactly what we had hoped for. The area is quiet, secluded, and beautiful. We were able to enjoy a nice view of the lake from the large back patio. Every morning and evening a lovely doe would come from the backyard forest to say "hello", and the birds continuously provided us with beautiful music. The spacious swimming pool was sparkling clean and such an added treat. We were all surprised at how quiet and perfect this spot was for our vacation. We will definitely book this cabin again!
