Beach House 200m from the water

Our home is a double storey child/infant friendly weatherboard beach house only 200m/1 min walk from the shore. With such and amazing view of the beach, free Wifi, coffee pods and everything you need to cook, I'm sure it will not disappoint a group/families get away.

Our families favourite part of the house would be the decking area, where you can have breakfast on the lovely large concrete table and catch the sunrise over the water a stone throw away. Its perfect for those summer nights where you can have a BBQ and relax.

Master bedroom 1: This large bedroom contains its own newly renovated ensuite, giant walk-in closet, smart TV, ceiling fan, king size bed and side tables.

Bedroom 2: This bedroom has a shared toilet, it is blacked out with a Cot, (noise machine, baby monitor available on request) ceiling fan, Queen size bed and bed side table.

Bedroom 3: This bedroom has a shared toilet, it has the best view out of all the bedrooms, with a Queen size bed, ceiling fan and bedside table.

Bedroom 4: This small bedroom has a bunk bed with two singles which also allows access to the toilet and bathroom/laundry.

*Bedding is made pending amount of guests to book.

This has a fully stocked kitchen, with everything you need to cook even the largest of meals for family and friends! Just bring your own food, we got the rest.

Dining room: A large table to seat 8, with 3 bar stools for the kitchen bench and a highchair for bub.

Main living room: A generous size living room just off the kitchen with a giant couch to seat the whole family and friends, giant ceiling fan, split system air con/heater, big bean bag and 55 inch Smart TV.

Upstairs Rumpus Room: Big room with the best view looking straight out to the water with a pool table, big ceiling fan, split system air con/heater, double sofa bed and a 50 inch Smart TV.

Main bathroom/Laundry: The main bathroom has a shower, bath, washing machine with detergent and dryer.

- Parking for up to 5 cars on the property
- Baby gates upstairs and downstairs.

There is a beautiful walking trail which lead to either St. Leonards or Portarlington, E-bikes can be hired just down the road.

Only 500m to the Ozone shipwreck, a 5 min drive to the amazingly new renovated Portarlington Hotel, 5 mins to Portarlington golf club and 15 mins to Curlewis golf club.

** this house has an active security camera which records video and sound upon motion out the front for safety reasons.

** only paid guests may enter the property, this is for insurance reasons.

** our neighbours are lovely and we want to maintain a good relationship with them, so please respect them and keep the noise down

** parties are not tolerated and we have to right to move people off the premises who have not paid.

Indented head getaway

This property was perfectly located just a few minutes walk from the beach. The kitchen was well supplied and the bbq/deck area was fantastic for our group of friends. We know each other very well and so weren’t too fussed by the open doorway in one of the bedrooms. I think this house ours perfect for family and close friends getaways. We would definitely start again. Thank you.

our experience

Prior to arriving the communication with hosts Daniel and Anne was good.But when we arrived one of the rooms had no door. A couple had no privacy as you could look into the room even from down stairs.When we asked them about it, they said the people who stayed before broke it.This should have been told prior to our stay.Also, the walking robe had exposed concrete and it was only mentioned a day before arrival.The other toilet downstairs had pipes showing and we had a frequent problem with spiders in the room with the bunk bed.The pictures that are listed are deceiving.They don’t show that one room lacks a window. It was sealed with black builders tape.They claim that the house is newly refurbished, but it seems like the master bathroom only underwent renovations.But there were still holes in the wall and the toilet roll holder was not properly fixed into the wall.If a house is not fully done, Daniel and Anne, you should not be letting people stay at your property, especially for the price we paid.A day after our stay, Daniel messaged accusing us of breaking the toilet roll holder and leaving marks on the wall, wanting us to pay for it. Before we left, we made sure the place was cleaner than we first arrived. we do appreciate them extending checkout time due to our car breaking down and having to wait for roadside assist. But we do not recommend staying here. If you do stay here, take photos of everything otherwise Daniel will also wrongfully accuse you of damaging their place

My name is Daniel, my wife is Ann-maree and we have spent the whole of 2022 renovating this lovely place we now call home while juggling life at the same time.

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

The location is what really attracted us to this fixer upper, when we purchased it there was leaks, walls that need replacing, plumbing issues, electrical issues and the list goes on. But we seen the potential and wanted to persist with such a big task even thou we have a 18 month old and both work. We are happy to say, we love what we have done so far, although there is big plans for it in the future.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

The view that we get while enjoying a BBQ with friends and family is really what we love about it, not to mention how easy it is with kids to pop over to the beach for a little bit till they get grumpy and be home again 2 minutes later. Also the fishing is amazing, majority of the time we just eat freshly caught calamari and whiting straight from the front of the street.
