Directly on the Karitane estuary, our small self-contained family studio accommodation offers 2 adults and 2 kids an extra special seaside holiday (weekend or longer stay), immediately on the tidal estuary and 5 minutes walk to Karitane surf Beach or kayak or drive to Waikouaiti Beach in about the same time.

Perfect wee escape

The property and location were perfect for a weekend away. All we needed was provided, and just being able to sit on the deck and watch the tide was relaxing. Would stay again.

If you are looking for the quintessential 'crib' experience then look no further. This holiday studio has all the essentials & with the exception of wi-fi, few of the frills. We found it valuable to get back to the basics of living & although the weather was not kind to us, we enjoyed our stay. We found our host to be responsive & communicative & keen to ensure that we had all we needed.

Cute wee studio. Bed was very comfortable. Hot water system not working efficiently and once up and running wasn't quite up to the level required to enjoy a nice hot shower. Barry was very obliging host

This property is very small (smaller than a usual motel studio) and I thought it was expensive for what it was, however the accommodation options in Karitane are very limited, so I guess the market rules. If the weather is good, the size is less of an issue as there is loads of outdoor space to extend into. But if the weather is bad, it can get a bit cramped. The view across the estuary is great and the studio was super clean. The kitchenette had everything we needed.

Die Unterkunft liegt an einer Flussm0ndung in den Pazifik, so dass die Gezeiten hautnah beobachtet werden können. Man kann Kajak fahren und auch grillen. Die Kommunikation und das Vertrauen des Gastgebers sind hervorzuheben. Ein kleiner Laden, der zu Fuß erreichbar ist, stellt ein gutes Angebot zur Verfügung, um sich selbst versorgen zu können.
