Welcome to our charming rural retreat, where we love hosting guests and making every stay extra special - plus we're only 7 minutes to downtown Stratford and 17mins from St. Mary's!

Many years ago this is the site of the Harmony Inn - a once thriving Mill town. Today our fully renovated 1200 sq ft heritage cottage is the perfect choice for your group meetup or theatre stay.

We stayed for 3 nights at this wonderful cottage, to be close to St. Mary's Golf and Country Club for our daughter's wedding. Carly's attention to details are incredible. If you need something, I'm sure she has it in a basket somewhere near by. The cottage is very comfortable inside and out. The cleanliness was impeccable. We had outdoor games to play, a fire table, a natural fire and lots of comfortable outdoor seating to use. The cottage was spacious and the beds are very comfortable. She made us feel very welcome from the minute we opened the door. I only wished we had more time to relax and enjoy. Carly's communication was quick and easy and she was willing to accommodate me any way that she could. Hoping we can book again sometime. Thanks Carly for a wonderful stay!!!

The property is beautiful, sparkling clean, stocked with breakfast foods and treats for on-the-go. The patio was cozy with a nice fire table and lighting. The sleep arrangements were so comfortable...complete luxury. The hosts made sure that we had everything we would need for our visit and welcomed us with a lovely bottle of Rose wine. We will definitely love to stay again at this perfect place! Special birthday memories made. Thank you to our friendly hosts for this truly wonderful experience.

AMAZING place to stay!

This property is clean, organized and extremely comfortable, as well as beautifully decorated. This was our 2nd time here and we loved it again. Breakfast being included is a huge bonus. Bedding & beds were so comfortable that we didn't want to get up! Location is fantastic, so close to Stratford. The hosts are very attentive. We're hoping to book again for next winter. LOVE THIS PLACE!

Excellent

We really enjoyed our stay at Carly and James home. It was clean, comfortable, and pretty. There was lots of room for everyone and we had our immediate family Christmas in their home on Sunday. It was so nice to have a full kitchen and living room. They also had a little table and chairs for the 3 little ones. They had many amenities and it really felt like home. They also provided games for the kids and had a Christmas tree. We definitely will stay there again!

Beautiful Home

Very lovely stay. It very quiet, could see lots of stars at night. Also close enough to Stratford to attend events and gather groceries. I was impressed by the variety of breakfast items and snacks. Very clean and exactly as described. Hosts were quick to respond when we had a question.

Simply wonderful

Carly and James have thought of so many details that make one feel at home. From utensils, cookware, tin foil, salt, some staples in the cupboards, the toiletry items we forget or run out of when traveling, to caring comfort items like waterproof blankets for the outdoor deck furniture. Their home is immaculate. Their instructions and helpful advice about the area are so helpful. It was a joy to make the quick 10 minute drive past farms to see our daily performances at the Stratford festival. (It really is a 10 minute straight one road drive to the festival. We arrived exhausted from work and travel. We left feeling rested and restored after a week’s stay. Thank you to our wonderful hosts!

As nice as advertised

Nice & clean property, kitchen well suited for family brunch before heading into Stratford for an afternoon play. Must have car, closest corner store is several kms away, but there’s ample parking for multiple cars in the driveway. Door-to-door drive to theatres is actually less than 10min

Nice modern cottage with a rustic feel.

This was a wonderful cottage. Very clean and welcoming. Location was a straight shot to downtown. Only drawback is the intersection it’s located on was quite busy.

Great place!

We enjoyed our stay very much. There was a lot to do in the house when we weren’t out in Stratford. The location is very convenient. Appreciated the stocked kitchen with everything we needed including some basic pantry items. Highly recommend and would stay here again if we are in the area again in the future.

All the comforts of home and peace of mind

How great not to have to worry about the facilities you are booking. This is our second time booking this cottage and plan to rebook a 3rd time if/when we make it out to the Stratford Festival next year. Great location - so close to downtown, clean, spacious, comfortable beds and bedding, two bathrooms, fully stocked pantry and refrigerator, laundry facility, outdoor patio and so much more. I love this place.

Perfect stay

The house is beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. So many provided amenities like bug spray, sunscreen, tons of tasty food and snacks provided. The outdoor space is gorgeous lots of seating and a fire pit. The host was awesome and very responsive to my needs before, during and after our stay. A very short drive to Stratford. 100% recommend staying here.

Warm and Welcoming

Property was warm and welcoming, meeting all our needs and then some, with plenty of space to visit and enjoy the outdoors. Everything we may have needed was on hand, from umbrellas to games. Hosts were wonderful and responsive and accessing the place was a breeze. We had a lovely family weekend away here and would book again. Located just a quick jaunt away from Stratford was perfect.

Perfect Getaway - Clean and Fully Furnished!

Our family recently stayed at this beautiful VRBO property and couldn't be happier with our experience. The home was impeccably clean and every room was thoughtfully furnished. The kitchen was a standout feature, equipped with all the cooking amenities anyone could want, from high-quality cookware to a variety of utensils and spices. The property offered a charming country feel, providing a peaceful retreat. Despite the setting, it was just a short distance to Stratford, making it easy to enjoy the theaters and downtown area. This place truly felt like a home away from home. We would absolutely come back and stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, well-furnished, and conveniently located place to stay!

Just Right

Our stay at Carly's VRBO was extremely pleasant. She has thought of everything possible to make guests comfortable; even stocking the fridge with basic necessities. While we did not eat any snacks, these were also readily available. Very clean, very comfortable; temperature just right. Highly recommend.

Very nice property near Stratford, the Great Lakes an Niagara

Arriviung at the holiday home we were so lucky to find a nice and cosy home, prettty well furnished and inviting even with fresh flowers on the table and a good selection of food for the hungry travellers. The contact with the owners, dear Carly, was easy and we felt welcomed immediately. So we could enjoy each day travelling around to nice places like Niagara, Erie- and Huronlake, Pinery, and of course the Straford Festival Theatre showing Romeo and Juliet - brilliant!!!

Annual college girls get together

We felt like we were home. Loved all the helpful frames information around the home. Very spacious, bright and clean. Communication with our hosts were always prompt. Willing to accommodate any of our needs or wishes. House is located centrally and easy to travel to any of the towns near by. We will definitely be looking toward in rebooking in the future.

Snowy getaway

We had a wonderful, long weekend! I was excited to build a fire and relax for the weekend and we got to do just that. A beautiful winter storm rolled through and the views were really nice. The hosts pay great attention to detail which made the stay even more comfortable. It’s is isolated enough to really disconnect, while also close to a cute town that has everything you need if you get a craving or want to walk around. If we are ever in the area again, I’d book the same place!

We've been hosting for over 3 years and have loved welcoming so many wonderful guests! I'm originally from Windsor, and my husband grew up on a dairy farm in Wellington County. While we're not Stratford natives, we’ve fallen in love with the charm of this town—so much so, we've moved here twice!

As a family with five kids, including a son with special needs, we truly understand the importance of a stress-free, well-equipped place to land. Our travels taught us how valuable comfort and thoughtful touches can be. That’s what inspired us to create warm, welcoming stays—both at our countryside Cottage and our tranquil Suite in town.

We love gardening, growing colorful flowers and fresh veggies, and dreaming up new projects to make each space even more special. We hope you feel right at home here, just as we do.

We fell in love with the rich history of Harmony—the Cottage was once part of an inn that served a hamlet with two working mills. You’ll spot little nods to that past in the décor, with curated trinkets and stories tucked throughout. Harmony was once poised to be the hub of Perth county, well until the Grand Trunk Railroad came through. Today it thrives as a farm community with rolling hills and creeks carving out the land.

You can get a taste of the area from our Neighbour's farm stand called Harmony Rooted - fresh eggs and beef!
