Affordable ranch with nice backyard and pool

This is an affordable place to stay in the Hamptons near everything. Small inside but clean except for ants one day and exterminator came unexpectedly to get rid of some hornet nest or something, which seems to release them after he left. New pool was nice but a bit cold if not heated (need to pay extra for that) so best to go in afternoon when in the sun. Shady yard with nice tree coverage but close to neighbors who were around so not as private as would have liked. Also sheets were a bit dirty in main bedroom, whch was disappointing. Beach permit work have been nice bc otherwise you have to pay to get on beach. Or have someone drive you and drop you off. Overall good value. One dislikes pet hair and will charge extra for it as she did to us.

Our stay here was just okay. There were a handful of aspects of the property that did not meet our group’s expectations. Upon arrival, there had been a ton of food and alcohol left in the fridge from the previous renters. The thermostat was set to 77 upon our arrival (in August) and it took 6-8 hours to cool down to 70ish when we reset it. The showerhead in the master bath was defective. The yard was ridiculously overgrown. When we brought this to the attention of the owner, we were told it was due to newly installed sod that couldn’t yet be mowed, but that didn’t make the experience any less unfortunate. There are sprinklers throughout the backyard that, two days in a row, came on while we were trying to enjoy the pool area - soaking us and all of the lounge furniture. When we asked, we were told they were unable to turn them off as they run on a set schedule. We were also not informed that workers would be showing up to service the pool during our stay, so that was a bit of a surprise as well. Overall, we were still able to enjoy our time in the Hamptons but would not stay here again.

Thank you for the detailed feedback. We're glad you were still able to enjoy your time in the Hamptons overall. We take cleanliness seriously, and once we learned that items had been left in the refrigerator from prior guests, we addressed it directly with the cleaning team, who now fully empty and inspect the fridge and pantry between every reservation. The master bathroom showerhead simply needed to be tightened to correct the spray pattern, and it is fully functional. On the thermostat, the central A/C was working properly, though the master bedroom can take longer to reach the same temperature as the main living area, which is why a fan is provided for added comfort. The sprinkler schedule had been temporarily increased to help newly installed sod around the renovated saltwater pool take root; that sod is now established, and watering has been reduced and better coordinated so it won't interfere with pool time going forward. We appreciate you sharing your experience.

The lawn and increased watering schedule were temporary while newly installed sod became established, and the property receives professional pest and pool service. Great Stay!

My family enjoyed staying at this lovely property. The backyard was especially great! My kids splashed in the heated pool and jumped on the trampoline every day! The location was ideal and very close to the beach. We would definitely return.

Great place, location, and awesome owners!

We loved our stay here. The house was perfect and having the heated pool was great for the kids. The house was so convenient to the beaches is Hampton Bays and to get into Southampton. The neighborhood is quiet, which was nice with kids. Hampton Bays is very underrated, we had great food and loved the beaches. The owners were amazing. Very responsive and helpful!

Hampton bays house

We went to Long Island for an event and this house provided us with a very comfortable place to stay! The house was clean and well supplied; the deck and yard lovely and provided nice privacy. There is a pool which is quite nice but we did not use it. We highly recommend this rental!
