The unit was comfortable and well located for our needs. Having the EV charger was also a plus. The gate entry code device could be better lit at night, but the flashlight function on our phones solved that issue.

Property was super cute and as described. It is in the basement of a home so you will hear some noise of the owners above. But relatively early in the night the noise over head ceased. It was a non-issue for us. Great neighborhood. Extra bonus—there is a single parking spot near the entry point to the flat. Convenient to shops and public transport. Beds super comfortable. Kitchen was tiny but perfect. Everything we needed. Would highly recommend.

Great little place

Centrally located, we saw EVERYTHING in DC and nothing. Was over 20 minutes away. Perfect for a small family vacation. Even if you don't want to venture to central DC plenty to do mount pleasant.

Good time

It was a good stay over all but I traveled will a family member with bad knees and in the apartment the sud-floor was uneven and led to the knee pain and the floors pulling up and leading to cuts on the feet. There where only 4 people (56 to 15) and it was a little crowded but it was cheaper and larger than a hotel to if the tiny things do not bother you this is a great place to stay.

City/Country Mix

This unit has everything that you could need for a trip to DC. Located in a very cool neighborhood with views of nature outside the door but right in the heart of a city neighborhood. We easily walked to a cafe and enjoyed a delicious lunch and to a market for essentials. The off street parking was a huge plus. The unit is outfitted with so many conveniences from kitchen tools and appliances to coffee/tea/creamers/sweeteners to several different charging cords that would work on a variety of tech products as well as noise machines/night lights in the bedroom. The living room/dining are was very comfortable as were both the bedrooms. The bathroom has all the essentials. There is an in unit washer/dryer and TV that we did not use but is available. Keep in mind that the listing mentions that people live upstairs and that is definitely apparent due to the age of the home. I would absolutely consider staying here again. Thank you for making our trip so much easier and comfortable.

Beautiful apt in Mt. Pleasant

This apartment was exactly what we were looking for! Very nice, quiet neighborhood, with tree-lined streets and a dedicated parking spot, but close to food restaurants and shops.The owner Asem was super responsive and checked in to be sure we had everything we needed. The apartment was also spotless.The only down side was that one of the sleeping spots is a trundle bed, and if the mattress underneath is pulled out, you can’t really walk in the room at all. We solved this by just bringing the 2nd mattress out to the roomy living room.It really is a lovely place, and we will definitely be back!

Great place -

My stay was absolutely perfect! The home was spotless and had all the amenities I needed. The host was incredibly friendly and quick to respond, making check-in and communication seamless. The location was great for our needs; very close to the zoo and to family we are visiting. Highly recommend this place.

Great family getaway!

We wanted a quick getaway from Hampton Roads for part our Spring Break. We have friends that live in Mt Pleasant so we were familiar with the location. It’s easy to get to, and having a dedicated parking spot from the back alley was super convenient. Having a guest concierge available by text was a bonus. The listing clearly stated that the family lives in the house, and if you are not familiar with these 100 year old houses, they aren’t particularly quiet. That being said, we were very comfortable, the place was nice and clean and perfect for a few days stay. I had to learn how to use a French press coffee maker which is luckily very simple! If you are using a rideshare app, make sure you drag the pickup pin to the back alley and be sure to message or call your driver so they know where you are. We will certainly stay here again next time we visit!

Lovely little apartment for our small family

Apartment was charming and cozy. An excellent space in a safe neighborhood from which to explore D.C! Beds were comfortable and it was way more convenient and affordable than staying in a nearby hotel during tourist season! Property manager was helpful and responsive. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect DC spot!

Loved our stay. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet while also being walkable and convenient to lots of public transportation. The apartment is very clean, comfortable and attractive. We'll definitely stay here again on future DC trips!

the host has thought of EVERYTHING!

My husband, 14 year old, 11 year old and myself stayed here this past week. It was a great setup for the 4 of us. The master bedroom is very spacious and the guest room was perfect for our kids. The host has disposable earplugs for all the guests, a usb cord with all types of chargers connected, extension cord with many outlets and usb plugs, blankets in each of the closets and tower fans and sound machines in each room as well! In the bathroom, though small, it is fully equipped with soap/shampoo/conditioner. I loved the extra touch of having travel size Neutragena face wipes available too! There’s a full first aid kit in the bathroom and a hair dryer under the sink. I was overly impressed with this unit! The only con I thought of were the light coming in from the windows (blackout shades would’ve been nice but not completely necessary). Overall, we really enjoyed this place and would highly recommend it! It’s a bit of a drive to DC but Uber worked just fine! (We walked to the front side of the house each time for the Uber to find us since it is a bit confusing for drivers). Average cost was about $20 one way from the house to DC (capital/Smithsonian's/ touristy areas. The money you save by not staying in the city, you may spend on Uber ;)

Family visits DC

This property was a nice home away from home. It was very clean and was supplied with lots of necessities such as detergent, spices, bathroom extras. There is a parking spot and we were able to park our Chevrolet Full sized double cab truck, it was tight, but we managed it! We felt very safe in the lovely neighborhood and its location was very convenient! Definitely would stay there again.

Cozy Basement Apartment in a Great Location!

My husband, 5-year-old daughter, and I recently visited DC for a long weekend. We were very pleased with these accomodations. The two bedroom apartment was the perfect size for our homebase. It's cozy and very nicely decorated! The kitchen is well appointed with necessities. Beds were very comfortable and there were lots of extra blankets provided as well. As it is a basement apartment, you can hear the homeowners moving about upstairs but they kindly provide both white noise machines and earplugs in both bedrooms. None of us had issues sleeping.The location is also phenomenal. The house is in a quiet area. Seems very family oriented. Rock Creek Park is literally in the backyard (there's an entrance to a trail just down the alley way). The National Zoo is only about 3/4 of a mile away and the nearest metro station less than a mile away. The neighborhood as a whole is very walkable and easy to navigate. Lastly, we ordered pizza one night from Martha Dear. Highly recommend!

Charming abode adjacent to Rock Creek Park

We choose this rental due primarily to its location — with Rock Creek Park literally in the back yard. The surrounding neighborhood is also lovely. It was also half-way between a relative’s home and the Smithsonian (where we had a meeting). The unit is well appointed with two bedrooms, a kitchen, living room and washer and driver (which we really appreciated as we were on a month-long trip across the Midwest, South and DC). It was charmingly decorated and restaurants were within walking distance. A useful guide to the neighborhood was included. Necessary items were available including coffee, towels, toilet paper, etc. There is only one small TV and that is located in the living room (none in either bedroom). Others have mentioned that the unit is dark (three very small windows and two face a wall) and that is true as it is a basement apartment. Our biggest problem was attempting to find the residence using a code that you are advised to enter into your mapping program. This option failed on my phone and our taxi driver’s phone. Better to go to the address and go directly to the rear entry (which accesses the basement) via a cross street. We spent a king’s ransom on the taxi fare attempting to use the mysterious code and had to seek assistance from the property manager via phone. I would recommend this unit if you don’t need a lot of light and and want a stress-free and quiet neighborhood residence during your stay in the DC area.

Comfortable and Convenient

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the apartment near Rock Creek Park. The accommodations were attractive and comfortable, and they provided everything we needed. We especially appreciated the washer and dryer, the Smart TV, the plush towels, and the comfy bed. The location was perfect for us—lovely neighborhood, near our family, and within walking distance of the Metro, restaurants, Target, and other stores. The gracious hosts greeted us upon arrival and showed us how to access entry. They facilitated smooth communication and responded promptly by text if we had questions. We hope to stay here again!
