New 2 BR APT: amazing location, spotless, free private parking.

Welcome to our gorgeous unit in our Victorian house in Logan/Shaw ! The rental is in a separate floor of our brand-new house with its own private entrance. It has space and all the amenities for a family or group of friends: 2 bedrooms, a closet, a full bath, a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen (with a double induction cooktop) and lots of natural light. Comfortable beds, excellent wifi, smart TV. The space is modern, simple, bright and cosy. Everything you need for a perfect stay. It is a garden apartment (with windows and natural light) of a townhouse. We live above with 2 healthy toddlers and you will hear their sound. That said, there is no street traffic noise and it is just off a main road.

All this and just STEPS to the best of Shaw and Blagden Alley with starred restaurants, coffeehouses, art spaces & more, as well as Logan/14th Street restaurants, grocers, theatres and the convention center. Easily accessible to parks & points beyond via Metro & major transportation arteries.

Cleanness is of high priority for us. We charge an additional $50 cleaning fee for pets. We charge $35/night per guest beyond the 2nd guest to keep price low for business and couple travelers. Please input the correct number of guests in your booking. Upon request, parking available at our private parking with direct access to the unit.

Stayed here for a quick trip for local sightseeing and a concert at the Anthem. Clean and quiet and convenient to the area. The hosts were very responsive to an issue with parking which was very quickly resolved with their help. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again in a future visit.

The properties proximity to all thing DC was great but the neighborhood had a residential feel to it. Andrea was a great host and check in was super easy with clear instructions about everything. The place was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend it.

Great stay and location

We loved this VRBO. So convenient, super super clean, great location. Even though it's a basement unit it doesn't feel like it at all. Everything is really new and comfy. Super responsive host and parking. Highly recommend!

Washington DC family trip

Andrea is a great host and this is located in a gem of a neighborhood. This was perfect for my family and it was easy to bike or use transit to get to the sites.

Clean, comfy garden apt

This garden apartment was clean and well stocked. We appreciated the little touches like umbrellas and metro tickets provided. Andrea was a great communicator and friendly host. It was in a quiet neighborhood walkable to many fun areas and the mall. Thanks for a great place to stay.

Great Value

Really nice to find a cute, 2-Bedroom at such a great price in a convenient neighborhood. Walking distance to Metro bus, subway, restaurants, coffee, wine bar, grocery, etc. Super clean apartment and responsive owner.

A nice spot to rest after a long day on our feet. Plenty of space and amenities to make the stay easy and drama free. Plus a free, garage-parking-spot was pretty great. Two things to note:1) The temperature control for the space is controlled by the host. Andrea was perfectly pleasant and timely when asked, but it's weird as a guest to have to ask the host to turn the temperature down more than once. 2) This is a DC problem and NOT a host problem: There are large rats (outside) and loads of mosquitos (outside AND inside). The rats were never bothersome, but they did startle us walking into the apartment basically every time. The mosquitos were just present all day, and they seemed to congregate near the front door, so a few would get in every time we entered. Just something to keep in mind!All in all, a great spot. Close to lots of food/coffee. An easy walk to the metro. A 30ish minute walk to the mall. Would stay again!

Only issue with the unit is the inability to control the temperature. There is no thermostat. The temperature is controlled by the owner. Had to message the owner several time to have her turn up the heat.

Wonderful property and location

We were in DC for a business trip and this apartment was walking distance of less than a mile to the convention center. Great, quiet neighborhood. We walked everywhere- DuPont, Georgetown, Foggy Bottom, the Mall, etc etc. Shaw and Convention Center Metros nearby for further afield. The apartment is immaculately clean, bright, and spacious. Comfortable bed and furniture. Kitchen had everything we needed. WiFi strong. Andrea was an excellent host, prompt with communication. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay. Place is recently renovated and spotless. Safe quiet neighborhood. restaurants and grocery nearby. Large apartment. lots of room One complaint I had was the mattress very hard. The owners gave me a Mattress Topper, and that made a HUGE difference... thank you! Can park in their Garage, which is great, if a little tricky due to the narrow alleyway. "Pitter-patter of little feet above you" is a really nice way to put it, but not the words I would have used. A couple of area rugs (thick ones) would be a smart investment for them, at least for a few years.

Clean, cozy apartment with great location

We really enjoyed staying in Andrea's apartment. The apartment was clean with everything we needed for our family of four with the two bedrooms and bath and a nice common area. We appreciated the kitchenette so we could prep and eat simple dinners at the apartment as well as breakfasts. There were multiple grocery stores within walking distance, and we also walked to a playground with a splash park. We appreciated being within walking distance of the National Mall but also having a nearby metro station if our kids weren't up for walking. Andrea was prompt in responding to all of our questions. Communication was great. The option of onsite parking was also good. We could sometimes hear movement upstairs as was described ahead of time, but it was not an issue for us. We would love to stay here again.

Beautiful space, but quite loud :(

I would like to start with saying that the space is absolutely beautiful! It was walkable for my kids and I to get to the places that we wanted to and we felt safe walking around. Andrea was super communicative and accommodating, the check-in and check out process was extremely easy, and I appreciated the kitchen amenities because I tend to cook while on vacation. My only complaint was at the " cute noises" started early in the morning (630-730) and they were quite loud. The excited toddler running feet are absolutely unavoidable with a toddler so I cannot fault them at all. However, we are not light sleepers and it was difficult for my children and I to sleep and feel restful in the morning. I feel bad saying this because Andrea was so kind in trying to make our situation better, but if I had seen a detailed review I would have chosen a different place to stay.

Great find

My wife and two girls ages 17 and 9 recently stayed 4 nights in this basement apartment. It’s exactly as described by the owner.: new and clean.. The four of us stayed very comfortably. Bedrooms are on the smaller side with a great bathroom/shower and large living area/ kitchenette. The metro station is an approximate 10 minute walk. It’s a bustling are with numerous shops and restaurants nearby. Never felt unsafe in this area, even when walking at night. The owner/ manager Andrea is very accommodating and willing to answer any questions. As stated in the description, you will hear the occasional pitter patter of toddler feet above, but it never bothered us in the least bit. Would not hesitate to book again!

Family visiting DC

Great place to stay with family while visiting the DC area. Beautiful street and a nice location. AC worked well, which was important since it was hot the week we were in DC. The Shaw-Howard Metro station is a short walk away. Whole Foods is also nearby which was helpful for breakfast food and snacks. The washer and dryer were very helpful for cleaning clothes after a few hot/humid days. Andrea and Fabio were very kind and friendly folks and we enjoyed getting to know them a bit. Would definitely recommend staying here. Some tips In the listing photos, there was a daybed of some kind that we expected to be able to use, but it was not there. If you have a group of four people, two will need to share a bed. There isn't much insulation between this unit and the above main living space. This was fine for us since we use white noise while sleeping.
