This review is not a surprise at all due to the unreasonable conflict we have experienced with your group. We run our properties at a 5 star standard and rating, therefore future guests reading your review, will most probably see that this review does not match our 5 star standards. The requirements in which we asked of you and the very strict house rules we set in place prior to your arrival are very fair and reasonable. These are standards ALL properties enforce when pets are involved to protect future guests. Quite fairly most guests leave properties in this condition regardless. I am sure you would not wish to stay at a property with dog hair throughout the house? When a pet is involved, we are required to be extra vigilent in protecting our property, and our future guests by holding very strict policies. Policies however you did agree to. We did also encourage you to consider alternate accommodation (you declined) due to this property being so new, and of such high standard, where anything amiss or not up to our standard, you will be charged for. This was very clear in our communication and again what you had agreed to. The current standards for private accommodation are incredibly high and strict, which you may now be a little more aware of for future bookings and in choosing more appropriate accommodation. Our neighbours for our properties are very mindful and aware, keeping an eye on things, compleletely out of their own concern. In no means was the neighbour asked to check on you. However reported cat noises from our property, coinsiding with our cleaners report of damage to the sheer curtains, aligning with cat claws. Our policy is to report this evidence to our guests. The reaction to this evidence has been extremely irrational and defensive. Whether the damage was caused by a cat, a dog, a human, is irrelevant, the bottom line is there is damage and this must be compensated. There was also very large dog remains left in the backyard. The mistreatment you have stated in your review, is incredibly misaligned to how we have handled this situation, when in fact the poor behaviour, defensive and abusive responses, have been inflicted from your end. This is very disappointing, considering we bent our rules, by allowing you to have a dog at this property, set strict policies you agreed to and broke, left pet waste and damage to 3 x curtains. It is very surprising you feel you have grounds to review our property poorly. We work incredibly hard to offer our guests a beautiful experience at our properties, if we did not run at this level, you would not have had such a beautiful home to holiday in with your family, offering brand new furnishings, spotless cleaning, expensive high quality linens, and overall the property being kept immaculate. You were very happy wiith stay until these issues were raised with you. To review this property 1 star, as a reaction to being asked a very valid question of whether you had a cat at the property, and raising the subject of dog waste and curtain pulls, is very shameful. I hope this review assists future hosts in whether they accept your request to stay at their property. I would suggest not.
