It was a beautiful location. It had a lovely deck to sit on. It was cute inside. We had five people staying there so a little tight. The walls were paper thin and floors a little creaky so you could hear everything at all times. I would recommend bringing drinking water and ice as the water was brown in colour so were the ice cubes in the freezer. Overall we still had a great time.

The Tickle Inn was just perfect! So cute, so comfortably set up, and immaculately clean. We enjoyed the deck, and we loved the view across the harbour. We just wish we could have stayed longer!

This place is a.perfect place, central and quiet with all the amenities. We used it as a base to explore this part of the island and only wish we could have stayed longer. The place is newly renovated historic building that maintains all the charm. Beautiful sun sets on the deck with lots of birds, aneighbourhood cat and a fox that came by. We definately recommend this place.

We had a lovely stay at Tickle Inn Saltbox by the Sea in Champneys West, Bonavista Peninsula, Newfoundland. This old traditional Newfoundland house has been redone with all modern amenities but left the character and charm of the crooked and creaky floors and natural wood walls. Beautiful deck facing south overlooking an inlet. Even a little fox came to visit. So peaceful and quiet but close to the charming village of Trinity and the renowned Port Rexton Brewing.

The tickle box property was very clean. We had an unfortunate issue with the bathrooms. The flushing handles weren’t working and a very strong cleaning agent had been used. The area is very cute and the host was very responsive.

Property was very unique in location, appearance, decor and view of surrounding area, while having all the modern conveniences. Centrally located for exploring the Bonavista area. We loved our stay there, especially hearing the Trinity lighthouse fog horn located about 4 km away on foggy nights.

Great hikes close to house. Fox Island trail actually goes by house. Skewing Trail is close as well.

Great Stay!

Despite the wetter-than-average weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We've always loved hiking the Fox Island trail, and it was wonderful being able to do it right from our doorstep! The property was charming and on the few nice days we had during our one week stay, took advantage of the deck. Looking forward to returning!

Cottage in quaint fishing village

Small cottage, which has been restored with modern appliances and living space. The floors are somewhat uneven, and the rooms are small, yet it tightly held our family of 6. Guests need to bring their own soap and shampoos for the bathrooms. Easy access to hiking and has a wonderful view of the harbor.

Champneys west

Great stay in this rustic fisherman’s cottage located right on the bay in champneys west. Convenient to trinity and bonavista. Would have loved to have stayed for more than 4 nights, but the remainder of the island was calling! Simply charming.

Perfect spot

Lovely salt box on the water in Champney’s West. Great trails nearby, peaceful, with lots of whales past English Harbour. The house was exactly as described, and the owner was quick to respond to our very few glitches. We’ll be back!

Family getaway

We traveled to Christina's vacation home with a toddler (23 mo) two parents and two grandparents. It was very well appointed and met all our needs and expectations. Christina was quick to respond and very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Great stay!

Lovely and beautiful! The property was exactly as advertised. Check in was super easy. The entire house was very clean. Wi-Fi was excellent. Loved the deck overlooking the ocean. Appliances were new and worked great. We would highly recommend this house for anyone looking to stay in the area. Thank you!

As I have been requested to adjust our review, I will simply state: This is the only property we have been disappointed in during our entire Newfoundland vacation.The only positive feedback I can give is that the Property manager response time was very good
