We arrived late at night after the sun had already set. Which actually made the next morning's sunrise all the more breathtaking. Cute, Quaint, Cozy, and just excellently peaceful. Must Stay again.

Charming Cabin

We very much enjoyed our New Years getaway at the cabin. It was warm and cozy in spite of the very cold out door air. We went into town Cripple creek for New Years Eve. The cabin is charming inside with quaint signs. The bed was comfortable. Every thing was clean. Dishes and pans were more than adequate. The shower is a bit challenging for anyone over six feet tall. The owners are very responsive and helpful.

Nice cabin in the mountains

The cabin is very quaint and lovely. Extremely clean and decorated so cute. We wanted a quiet and cool mountain vacation to celebrate our 50th anniversary and it did not disappoint. The roadway to the cabin is very rough, like a rub board, but I assume that is the counties problem and not the owners. I will definitely book again the next time I make a trip to Cripple Creek.

Beautiful and peaceful

Property is located on a dirt road. Entance to the driveway can be a little tricky for low cars to bottom out, but we managed coming in at a angle. Home decor is camp style and beautifully decorated and has everything you need. Covered deck was very nice to sit out on and enjoy the gas firepit with a drink in hand. Birds are a bonus to watch while they are feeding. Not afraid of people. Owners were great and close by to help with anything. The elevation is a little hard to get use to and drinking lots of water did helped. Would come back and stay again!

Comfortable Spot

We should say up front that this is a single-wide, but it is solid, comfortable and nicely appointed inside and out. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space and all the birds that came to the feeders hanging from the patio roof. Everything worked well, solid wifi, good shower and beds. We didn't use the small washer/dryer but it's there and looks fine. The workable kitchen is stocked with some spices and other various food ingredients. Short dirt road drive from the main highway, in a rural neighborhood. Some traffic, not bad. 15 minutes to town. If you are a hiker, this is a good spot to base to access the various trailheads on the west and south side of Pikes Peak. Also very close to Florissant Fossil Beds. We'd recommend.

Perfect little getaway spot

The property and staff were wonderful. It was great sitting on the patio and enjoying all the bird activity. The wifi was enough to get a little bit of work done and the a quick drive into cripple Creek for fun! I only wish the road leading up the hill wasn't a washboard!

Beautiful mountain get away!

Although I had a hard time finding it at first and had to unload late at night, Sandi had left the porch lights on for us, and we had no problems with wildlife. It was such a quiet and peaceful area out in a new development off the main roads. My pups and I felt very welcome and Sandi answered any questions I had and stayed in touch with me although we did not get to meet.

Our family vacation

We loved the property. Our kids had a blast playing outside and we were greeted by many deer during our stay. We would definitely advise having a 4x4 during the winter, we had to use 4x4 multiple times while we were there. The only thing we would have changed would be the darkness of the curtains in the rooms. We were able to sit around the fire pit on the porch and grill while we were there. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to save so much money by cooking. We will definitely be back!

Quiet, private, beautiful.

It was the perfect quiet getaway. Above par cleanliness. Perfect little yard area for dog. Rooms & bed were cute & comfortable. Woukd definitely stay here again.

Cozy, affordable mountain getaway

If you're looking for an affordable place to enjoy the mountain air, this is a great find. It's not huge, but it really doesn't need to be especially if you're looking to get out and explore. Cripple Creek is just 10 mins away and it's super easy to get there.The house is a small home that appears to be modular and it's definitely not new, but it's been updated nicely. Windows on all sides allow for ample sunshine and mountain breezes. The furniture and decor are cozy and the kitchen is well stocked.The real perk here is the covered deck. We enjoyed using the provided fire pit even when it was raining outside. The deck is gated and there is a fenced area with some grass too if you bring your dog. It was nice being able to let our 4yo out to play without worrying about her wandering off.We had a mouse wake us up scratching around very early one morning. The owner was super responsive and came and took care of the issue that morning as soon as we had left for our day's adventures.

Wonderful Cabin

This is a great cabin. It was clean, comfortable, completely furnished with dishes, condiments and bath items. It has land behind it that my dog loved running around on (this is a pet-friendly cabin). The patio was fantastic, it has a grill, comfortable chairs and a gas fire pit. We enjoyed watching all the birds that visited. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly and took care of all of our questions. I would recommend this cabin to anyone going to Cripple Creek.

mountain cabin

A good friend and I stayed here in July for a few days. Cute little place, pretty private, with nice front views of the trees. We travelled to nearby state parks for looks at fossils and into the past when the area was covered with water. No air conditioning for the fan provided was completely adequate. Both kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedrooms were great. Kitchen was missing a couple of necessities (in my opinion) such a a cutting board and a vegetable steamer but it was still fun to prepare and cook a meal there. The deck outside was wonderful although the gas BBQ didn't work. We played board games out there while we watched the hummingbirds feed and listened to the relaxing sounds of nature and NOTHING. So much fun. Definitely would go back. Thanks for the experience!
