This is one of the most beautifully appointed homes at Bryce and the closest!
About Traci Oliver
I grew up coming to Bryce year round and now enjoy bringing my family here to create new memories. Bryce is the perfect location to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Washington DC suburbs. Being a smaller resort, there is a feeling of community here. But make no mistake, there is plenty to enjoy regardless of the season or your interests! Skiing and snowboarding and tubing in winter months offers a challenge for every level of athlete. Golfers love the pristine course (and our home overlooks the gorgeous 7th Green!) and future golfers will enjoy the recently renovated mini golf course. The more adventurous will love the zip line course and then there is the Mountain Bike trails. Lake Laura is a peaceful place for active water fun or simply relaxing.
Why Traci Oliver chose Basye
We recently updated and remodeled our home to make our guests feel comfortable and at home. The kitchen features new stainless steel appliances, granite cabinets and a cozy breakfast nook and is outfitted with everything you need for your stay. The open living room is stylishly appointed and room for all to gather. Two King-bed suites, a queen sleeper sofa and full sleeper sofa offer room for 8 guests. The 1.5 baths have also been nicely updated with granite counters and new fixtures. This home boasts 4 outdoor spaces with 2 overlooking the 8th Green of the golf course. You will likely see wildlife on your visit too! We have worked to make our home a place people want to come back to and refer to their welcome you!
What makes this Townhome unique
This home is conveniently located a mere 1/2 mile to the resort ~ walkable if really desired! In fact, we are probably one of the closest resort rentals sleeping 8 guests meaning you can spend more time enjoying Bryce Resort. We also wanted to update the home and furnish it to make people feel comfortable and pampered! Travel should be about new experiences and adventure, but also a pleasure! We have made sure our home is place your want to return to again and again! We hope you enjoy your stay!

Nice place and location
Nice place, great place for 1 or a few people. Very nice kitchen and appliances. The bedrooms great size with comfortable beds.
Excellent weekend getaway
Very clean and nicely decorated. Very convenient location.
What a wonderful place to stay!
This place , we found , to be clean, comfortable and really cute. It looked like Traci put a lot of effort in this condo. If there is a problem she gets back to you right away. I would have liked all the info a few days before but I just need to get my ducks in a line way before we leave. The information does come about 24 hours before your arrival. Traci thanks for sharing your house.
Good Peace & Quiet -- Only a Two Hour Drive from DC
Nice, clean condo right on the golf course. Even though it was a summer weekend, it wasn't crowded at all. And it was extremely quiet, especially at night. It was nice to sit out on the deck then, overlooking the golf course, and soak in the peacefulness. The surrounding area is pretty. We really enjoyed the nearby Shenandoah Caverns, and, me being an ex-New Englander, I really liked the covered bridge that was close to them
This is the place for you if you desire a low key, stay-at-home-in-the-evening type of stay - which we did. There's not a lot of choices in restaurants nearby anyway. But there's lots to do in the daytime around the area, ranging from pretty drives, to boating on the nearby lake, to seeing sites like the caverns, to taking a hike close by, or a long walk right from the condo front door.
Truth be told, I had thought the condo was part of Bryce Resort condos (my bad for not reading the info thoroughly) and had assumed we could take dips in the resort's pool at the end of the day (ie, there's no pool at this condo). But that was no biggie, really. The condo itself is roomy, and the master bed is very comfortable. I liked the ceiling fans, too. The kitchen had the basics - with an emphasis on basic. There was a simple array of pots & pans and utensils in the kitchen, a coffee maker & filters, and dishwasher detergent (but no dish soap on the sink, dish rack or dish towels). There were bath towels & wash cloths in the bathroom - plenty of wash cloths! - but we couldn't find any bathroom hand towels. No spices in the cabinets either (just a very old Salt & Pepper grinder), or other kitchen "starters" that other VRBO properties often have. So be sure to bring your own "kitchen stuff" if you go.
Along with the lockbox combination, the owner emailed a really nice listing, including web sites, of places to see and things to do. However, she sent this listing the DAY OF our arrival. That didn't leave any time to go read about them in advance. And I had emailed her days prior, too, asking about the place (mentioning I didn't want entry or lockbox access specifics, of course, just general info). Maybe I just miscommunicated my purpose. Anyway, if you go, and after you pay, maybe she'll differentiate between the two, and send you this nice listing in advance so you'll have time to do a little local research.
Bottom line: a good place for a quiet couple of days. But be sure to bring your own kitchen "stuff" - and some hand towels.
Thanks for your feedback. The kitchen is stocked with everything from matching plates, cups, wine glasses, pots/pans, 2 types of coffee pots, serving pieces, griddle, blender and more. We do NOT keep seasonings or other ingredients there for sanitary and food safety reasons. So sorry if that was not clear in the description or did not meet your expectations. So glad that you otherwise found our home pristine, well appointed and close proximity to the resort activities!
Beautiful Home But Needs Thorough Cleaning
The condo was beautiful and quiet. It was overall a nice place, but was dusty with dead lady bugs. I had to scrub the tub before my family used it. Some stains remained so it may just be an older tub, but the shower curtain was orange from soap scum. Not what I was expecting with all the nice remodeled pictures. The back deck was great for sitting outside, but the front balcony was covered in dirt and spider webs. I would stay there again because of the accomodations, but would hope it was cleaner next time.
Thank you for your positive comments on our home and bringing the condition of property to our attention. We will make sure the issues are addressed before our next guests arrive.
UPDATE: We have hired a new cleaning crew and are confident that the high standards our guests have come to expect with our home continue to be met!
Attractive condo and surroundings
Renovated accommodations were pleasant and attractive. Instructions were clear, and resort amenities were enjoyable. Despite the persistent rain, we had a good Bryce and Virginia visit. Thank you!
Bryce Resort is a four-season small relaxing resort. Many of our guests visit in the Fall to explore the scenic nearby Skyline Drive. Spring & Summer visitors enjoy golfing, Lake Laura, zip lining and mountain biking at the resort and the nearby Caverns and hiking trails. Winter is a busy season with skiing, snowboarding and tubing ~ Bryce makes snow and usually has a solid base starting in December through February (sometimes into March) Just because you do not have snow a couple hours away ~ we are probably skiing at Bryce. A nice little winter wonderland only a couple hours from the DC area!
