Located just one home away from being oceanfront, Great Escape is steps from a trail over flat sand and dune grass to the quiet end of the beach in Manzanita, within walking distance to Nehalem Bay for fishing and crabbing. The delightful shopping and dining of Laneda Avenue, Manzanita’s downtown, are just a mile and a half away.

You’ll love the vaulted ceiling, arched windows, sleek wood flooring and ocean views of this custom home. The living room’s comfy sectional sits in front of the TV and fireplace on one end of the great room. In the center is a smaller, cozy conversation nook for catching up with your guests. A windowed, ocean-view dining area is bright and open, and the spacious, well-equipped kitchen has multiple counters and a breakfast bar for easy circulation of guests needing refills or wanting to help with the cooking.

The bedrooms will delight your guests. You’ll want to claim the upstairs ocean-view king suite for yourself, but the downstairs bedrooms have their own charms, with serene color schemes, adorable antique furnishings, and lofty bedding. A built-in bunk room for the kids looks like a charming naval ship, with lap-board, wooden stairs, and sweet nautical décor.

You’ll find upscale deck furnishings and a barbecue on the deck—the kitchen sink looks out on the deck so you can keep an eye on the kids playing there. With the ocean near at hand, you’ll enjoy a relaxed and sandy stay at the beach—the greatest escape of all!

Memorable Moments

This home is so beautiful and the view of the ocean is amazing. We will definitely stay her again. The decor is so nice and refreshing and very clean too. My boyfriend and I wanted to make this a special trip for both our parents and a couple of friends and also for the Super Bowl beings we are 49er fans. Although the outcome of the game was not what we wanted, we still enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much!

Almost perfect!

The house and location are amazing! You are one house back from the beach but still can see the ocean. Nice deck off front and plenty of space! We took our daughter and 7 of her friends. The boys slept in the bunk room which, by the way is perfect for 4 teenage boys! and the 3 girls slept in the two other rooms. Shared bath all of the main entry floor. Primary suite is upstairs and lovely with en suite bathroom. The management team was great! We had our first experience with an induction oven...haha we had to have the team come show us how to work it! Actually, not difficult but I had brought prepared food and our pans were not compatible with the stove. We then locked ourselves out of the powder room and again they were very prompt in unlocking it for us! The house is well stocked, cute and comfortable! We loved it!!

September visit to Manzanita

The house is terrific. Ideally located, clean, spacious, and well equipped. The internet password we were first sent was inaccurate, but we found the correct one in the house. The toilet paper holder in the downstairs bathroom is loose on the wall (it was when we arrived). The primary bathroom upstairs is missing the right hand towl rack over the vanity; we found it in the laundry room. It should be reattached to the wall. Otherwise a fantastic house that we would love to visit again.
