When you stay at Moonlight View, you don’t have to head into town to have fun—though the 2-bedroom cabin is just a few minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. There’s plenty to keep everyone in your group entertained for hours right in the cabin.
The downstairs game room, for instance, is packed with entertainment. Shoot pool at the full-size billiard table, play air hockey, try your hand at the arcade or the Golf Tee game, play rummy or Uno at the card table, or kick back on the sofa and watch a movie on the flat-screen TV. You might find yourself hoping for a rainy day, just so you can stay in and take advantage of all the options.
For more relaxing pursuits, head out onto Moonlight View’s 2 decks. One is home to a hot tub. If there’s anything more rejuvenating than soaking among steamy bubbles while gazing out at the Great Smoky Mountains, we’ve yet to discover it! Or bring a beverage out to the deck, sit back in one of the rockers, and listen to the breeze rustle through the trees as you look out onto Mount LeConte and listen to parks and chickadees sing. You might find yourself spending hours out there—the views are that gorgeous.
When you do make your way back indoors, you’ll find Moonlight View’s great room just as restful as its views. There’s plenty of ample cushioned seating in the living area for the whole gang to gather around and watch TV, play charades, or in the winter, warm themselves by the stacked-stone fireplace.
Moonlight View is a short drive from a wealth of restaurants—steak, seafood, Italian, barbecue, Indian—but when you see the spacious, homey dining area and kitchen, you might want to eat at least some of your meals in. The dining table seats 8, and the kitchen is fully equipped to cook meals for a crowd. Whether it’s coffee and eggs for breakfast, a gourmet dinner, or milkshakes and margaritas before bed, you’ll find all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you need. If you reel in some trout from one of the nearby streams, you can cook it on the park-style grill out front. And the kitchen even has a dishwasher, leaving you more time to soak in the hot tub or challenge the kids to air hockey.
Each of the 2 bedrooms—one on the main floor and the other downstairs—has a king-size bed and a flat-screen TV. The master suite, on the main floor, has a private bathroom and a door that opens directly onto a deck, so you can step out late at night for a spot of stargazing without waking the others. A 2nd full bathroom is downstairs. If you have additional guests, you can convert the game room sofa and one of the great room’s sofas into queen-size beds, so that up to 8 people can spend the night.
Moonlight View’s other amenities include free WiFi, cable channels, and a washer and dryer. And then there are the amenities of Gatlinburg Falls Resort, in which the cabin is located: free access to its workout room, sauna, and in summer, outdoor swimming pool.
And let’s not forget the convenience of Moonlight View’s location. It’s just a mile from the Gatlinburg Parkway, home to the Guinness World Records Museum, mini golf, thrill rides, shops, and a tram that carries you up over the town to Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area and Amusement Park. Also close by are the Great Smoky Mountains National Park—a true must-visit—and the Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Loop, an eight-mile trail of more than 100 studios, galleries, and shops. Even the attractions of Pigeon Forge, including Dollywood, are less than a half-hour away.
If it’s fun you want, Moonlight View is the cabin for you. Don’t miss out—make your reservation today, and start planning your perfect family vacation.
