'The Mountain House' is the perfect cabin for you and your family to enjoy your Smoky Mountain getaway. Located in Covered Bridge Resort, you will be only 5-10 minutes away from the Parkway and close to all the attractions Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have to offer. Only 5 minutes away from the famous Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster and Goats on the Roof, close to Tanger Outlets and Dollywood, you will be able to get anywhere in a short amount of time!
Don’t like the curvy mountain roads? This fully furnished cabin is definitely the one for you with extremely easy access.

Inside the cabin, you will find a master bedroom on the main level with a king sized bed, a bathroom, and a large jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom is upstairs and includes two queen beds and a bathroom. Our cozy living area downstairs also includes a queen sleeper sofa for extra guests, a love seat, an electric fireplace, and a mounted flat-screen TV. Also on the main level, you will find a fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a coffee maker, a large table to accommodate your whole family, as well as a washer and dryer.
If you choose to spend time inside the cabin, we have provided a large collection of DVDs, books, board and card games, a playstation 2 with games, and a TV in every room. The loft also includes a pool table and an arcade game with 150 games.

Rain or shine, come enjoy our secluded covered back deck and relax in our large hot tub or rocking chairs. You can also enjoy cooking on the grill and dining on the picnic table.

Check in was super easy and straightforward. Kitchen had everything we needed. Hot tub was clean and in good condition. Very close to town which was convenient. The king bed was not comfortable, with the middle hammocking. The video game buttons did not work, and the dvd players did not connect to the tvs. The dart board did not have batteries and we never found the darts. Overall, we only stayed 3 nights and this cabin was doable. It was clean and had what we needed for a family of 5.

Great little cabin

Cabin was great. Worked perfect for our trip having the two beds in one room. The toilet handle upstairs was a bit sticky and the dresser in the master was broken and some stains on the carpet but overall it was clean and a good stay!

Cabin very easily accessible and very close to main attractions. Very cute layout. Beds very comfortable. Hot tub was the largest I’ve ever had at any cabin I’ve rented. Owners very nice and prompt to answer questions.

The property was very nice. Beds were very comfortable. Hot tub was nice. Only request would be to add a spounge, dish rags and dish towels to the kitchen. Otherwise, we had a fantastic stay. Would definitely stay again..

Awesome location, really close to the Parkway, and no scary steep roads! Close to everything we wanted to see. Very clean and well-stocked with everything you need for an awesome vacation! Perfect getaway!

Really enjoyed our stay. Owners were great, very accessible. Grandsons loved the pool table and video games. Cabin was well stocked, nothing lacking, very comfortable and clean. Especially liked location, close to everything and no long dark and winding road. No steep drop so kids are safe. Definitely would rent again!

We had a great stay. The cabin was super clean and had all the items we needed. Only thing I would recommend is bring your own pillows and blankets (if you are cold natured). There is no extra and only two pillows per bed. We are extra pillow people!

Great location, nice cabin, great communication from the owners

The cabin is in the perfect location, not far from activities and town. Is was clean, just a few very minor things that arent necessary to even mention. The owners were very responsive to messages and helpful. Google directions to the address take you somewhere way different but of you follow the directions in the virbo direcrions, they take you right there without any issues.

We have stayed at this cabin multiple times. This time was different as it was a little run down. The rocking chairs on back porch are hanging by a thread. Kitchen chairs look awful. Kitchen table is positioned so you can't even open dishwasher adequately. Drawer in fridge is busted. Knives are rusted in the knife block on countertop. And it looked like blood stain on ruffle of master bed when top mattress shifted a little. This was at head of bed closest to bathroom

Gatlinburg cabin

The property was in an excellent location. It was close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The cleanliness was great. The shower in the downstairs bathroom drained slowly and the toilet upstairs does not flush on the first try. The tv in Master bedroom did not work. Other than these items we had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend! We did have a bit of a problem finding the house number because it was tucked back off the curb.

Bed had two pillows with no pillow cases. All the furniture in the photos has since been replaced with different pieces that are terribly uncomfortable and low backs. The most comfortable place to sit was outside. No toilet paper. The maid came to clean it when we got there and had to bring bed sheets because there weren’t any on the bed.

An awesome place to stay! The location of the area is great, and the cabin is located in a little nook of the hillside. Couldn’t really see any amazing views, but we didn’t mind that. The place was clean, stocked and had plenty of space. The owners were very nice and easy to communicate with! I appreciate that. Our only complaint is that a Sauna was listed as an amenity and pictures of it were in listing, however the sauna wasn’t there during our stay. Assuming it was removed for some reason. Kind of a bummed because the old men were excited for it, but the hot tub worked perfectly fine! Overall, would definitely go back! Thanks owners.

Great Location, perfect size for our family of 5!

Perfect location! Short drive to the parkway and easy drive to get to the house. Our 3 kids enjoyed the arcade games and the pool table, as well as the hot tub! We did have a few general complaints. There were no darts for the dart board, a few pool sticks were broken upon arrival, dishes were left in the dishwasher, and there was store bought baked goods in the cabinet from a previous tenant. With the exception of the bedroom furniture, most of the other furniture needs to be replaced as it is very worn down (chairs are wobbly, sofas are very worn down.) Also, the sauna is no longer at this property, but was still pictured.

New years getaway

Cabin was adorable. There was room for our family and enough table space to make it cozy eating meals together. The hot tub was working and we used it several times a day. Our only complaint was that we needed more silverware and utensils. 5 forks for 8 people. Plenty of cooking utensils though. Definitely needs a new can opener, finally found an electric one tucked way back in the corner. Dishwasher didn't get dishes clean, wound up washing by hand. Other than those small inconvenience, we had a wonderful stay. Older folks should note that the entrance has steep steps to get in. We had enough room to park 2 big trucks and strong backs to get up the stairs just fine. All my questions were answered by the owners before our stay and we would definitely like ro stay here again. Located out of all the traffic which was great. Thanks for a wonderful place to begin 2023.

Pros: The hot tub was sooo nice and clean! The host was very responsive and kind. There is no winding mountain roads to get to the cabin and it’s easy to find. Really great for a family! The beds are so comfortable and the pillows were so good I had to research and buy my own! There were plenty of blankets. The washing machine and dryer are super nice and easy to use. There are plenty of towels (a big one for us!) There’s a pool table and an arcade machine. Cons: Nothing of major significance! The construction work going on in front of the cabin is not nice to look at. It’s not a big deal, but if this is something you wouldn’t want, maybe wait to book until it’s over. Some of the electronics/kitchen appliances are a little outdated-again not a big deal. The pool table is in a squeezed space and the arcade machine is a little difficult to figure out however the hosts helped us get situated with that! Overall, it’s an affordable cabin in a good location. Close to Dollar General, a gas station, a mountain coaster, and a restaurant. I assume it would be a great location to have door dash deliver if that’s what you need! It was clean, barely anything was in need of a tidy. Definitely bring your own laundry soap.They provided us with a brand new sponge, a few dish tabs, liquid dish detergent, a couple soap bars, a few small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion and wash-it won’t be enough to last for most families so make sure you bring your own if needed

We have been going to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg on family vacations for years and it is truly like a second home to us. We always dreamt about being able to own a cabin there and we are so happy that we were able to make that dream come true. 

We have so many great memories there and we hope that you will create your own when you stay at The Mountain House.

Why they chose this property

We love how the area has so much to offer. We can either have a relaxing getaway by just hanging out in the cabin or we can fill the trip with shopping, eating out, hiking, or visiting so many different attractions. 

What makes this property unique

Some of our favorite things to do there include rocking on the porch early in the morning, having a little fun competition playing pool in the house, relaxing in the hot tub and jacuzzi, reuniting with nature in Cade’s Cove, getting apples and banana bread at The Apple Barn, riding the alpine coaster, eating a candy apple on the streets in Gatlinburg, and finishing off the day sitting by the fireplace.
