Expansive decking enhances outdoor living and provides stunning 180-degree vistas of the breathtaking natural landscape. Embrace this idyllic setting with ample outdoor seating and a barbecue, perfect for enjoying al fresco dining.

\Sunlight floods the open-plan living area, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Relax on the comfortable couches while admiring the shimmering bay in the distance. The well-equipped kitchen and dining space ensure cooking a delightful family meal is a breeze, while the dishwasher is on hand to take care of the clean-up in no time.

This two-bedroom stunner comfortably sleeps up to five guests. The master bedroom enjoys panoramic views from the comfort of the king-size bed, while bedroom two provides a queen and king-single. A modern, family-sized bathroom completes the set-up of a pleasant stay.

Situated on a private, elevated section, you’ll appreciate an off-street parking space and well-tended grounds. In addition to parking at the top next to the boats, there is a driveway onto the property with space for two cars, Offering easier pedestrian access. When it’s time to venture beyond your hidden hideaway, you’re just 50 meters to the shores of Takamatua Bay via a private track, while the bay has boat mooring available. Meanwhile, all the local amenities await at the charming French village of Akaroa – just an eight-minute drive!

Amazing views and property was comfortable and stocked with everything you would need. Lovely balcony with seating and a BBQ.Parking and access was a real issue for us. Car park spaces in front were filled with 2 boats so we had to access through a narrow side gate and reverse up a steep slope, then walk up 16 uneven steps to access the accomodation. As husband has reduced mobility it was difficult. Garden is a steep unfenced lawn. Although we enjoyed the inside of the property we wouldn’t have booked it had we known about the difficult parking, access and garden.

We're sorry to hear the parking and access arrangements were more challenging than expected, particularly given your husband's reduced mobility. Following your feedback, we've spoken with the property manager to better understand the access options available at the property. The property does offer a number of parking options, including parking in front of the boats parked roadside, on the lawn area behind them, or via the driveway beside the house. There are also different access routes to the home, including wooden steps leading down from the roadside and brick steps from the parking area beside the house. That said, we appreciate that some guests may still find the steps and sloping terrain challenging, especially those with mobility considerations. Your feedback has been invaluable, and we're reviewing the listing information to ensure the parking arrangements, access routes, and terrain are described more clearly for future guests. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. We're pleased you were still able to enjoy the property overall, and we'd love the opportunity to welcome you back to this or another Bachcare holiday home in the future. Beautiful, serene location with gorgeous views and would have been perfect but unfortunately had a significant rodent problem which we only discovered after using the kitchen items with rodent droppings/urine on. Found evidence of rodents throughout the house. Communication on the matter was swift even out of hours, however it made our weekend away quite difficult and uncomfortable especially with two very young children. We spent a portion of our weekend cleaning items in the kitchen of the property and didn’t feel comfortable to cook there. Matter was resolved via messaging but did affect our short stay.

Leaving a review as this place doesn’t have many! This was a beautiful home- quite warm and cozy. The views and deck are out of this world. Beds and couches were comfy. Loved the birds and views. There is a little path you can walk too that takes you to the waterfront.The grill wasn’t clean and there were some odd stains in the rooms on the walls- but overall we were really happy. It was a lovely accomodation for a pretty reasonable price too. Would stay again!

View to die for

Such a special spot. Incredible views and an all day sun trap. A comfortable and cosy bach. Bird life is amazing and the bird feeders bring them right to you. While not fully fenced the property was great for our dog. We had a great time exploring Akaroa and parts of Banks Peninsula. We would love to return for another stay.

Thank you for a wonderful weekend away to celebrate a special occasion. The location was stunning with all day sun honest beautiful dick overlooking the water. I was quiet, I was relaxing just what we need. Thank you for allowing us to bring our two wee dogs along to join us. Places like this make it possible for us to travel with our four legged family. We would definitely recommend this place to others and come back. Thank you.
