The Neighborhood:
Welcome to Centennial, one of Colorado's newest cities, incorporated in February 2001. Centennial is a continually sought-after location to live, work, and play. It’s one of the safest areas in Denver, located just 10 minutes from Denver’s booming Tech Center, conveniently located to the Rocky Mountains and downtown Denver, and has a great network of trails, parks, and open spaces.

Centennial has a plethora of trails to explore for walking, running, hiking, and biking. There are more than 14 parks in town! Don’t miss Centennial Center Park, an 11-acre park featuring an amphitheater area, a water playground, and tons of wide open space to run and play. Centennial is also home to the Streets at SouthGlenn (2 miles away), which is a walking mall that has a movie theater and a variety of shops, boutiques, and restaurants!

Local eateries that are a short car ride away:

The Poke Story Southglenn (1.7 miles away) - Fresh poke bowls and burritos, boba tea, and delicious sweets.

First Watch (1.8 miles away) - Charming cafe for breakfast, brunch, and lunch!

Hopscotch (2 miles away) - American restaurant and bar with hearty entrees, games, and a patio.

Indulge Bistro & Wine Bar (2.1 miles away) - Stylish restaurant serving burgers, small plates, global wine, and cocktails.

A few of the many popular attractions you can reach nearby:
Streets at SouthGlenn: 4 minutes
Cherry Knolls Park: 4 minutes
Willow Spring Open Space: 4 minutes
South Suburban Golf Course/Sports Complex: 7 minutes
Monster Mini Golf: 8 minutes
David A Lorenz Regional Park: 7 minutes
Fiddler’s Green Amphitheater: 8 minutes

Check out the welcome book for our favorite local suggestions, including hikes, dining, and attractions you don’t want to miss! You’re also within a half hour of Denver’s best attractions, including City Park, Denver Zoo, Denver Museum of Nature & Science, the Botanical Gardens, and more.

Here for a concert? Red Rocks is 25 minutes away by car. You may want to check out this area regardless of your itinerary – it’s a unique place, and its gateway town of Morrison is charming. Further south, you’ll find Roxborough State Park for nearby hiking trails. One of Colorado’s main draws is Rocky Mountain National Park, which makes for a great day trip. Drive 1.5 hours through a dramatic canyon for a day of hiking, sightseeing, and wildlife viewing.

Depending on your destination, skiing is 1-3 hours away. Locals head to Echo Mountain, Eldora (near Boulder), or Loveland (near Georgetown) for a more low-key experience. We’re also within a few hours of Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and other snowy delights. There is a Nordic center near Breck if you want to try out cross-country skiing, and the summer months are a great time to rent a kayak to explore Dillon Reservoir. In short, this is the perfect jumping-off point for exploring the best of Denver and the Rockies!

Getting Around:
If you’ve never been to Denver, it’s easy to get oriented. The Rocky Mountains are to the West, and Downtown is North of Centennial. We recommend checking out Washington Park, Cherry Creek, or Lower Downtown if you want to stroll the city! Prefer to do your exploring around Denver on two wheels? Grab a B-Cycle and get pedaling! For those without a car, we recommend utilizing Uber or Lyft. Premier attractions such as the 16th Street Mall, City Park, Denver Zoo, and Denver Botanic Gardens are a ride away.
The easiest way to get out and start exploring by car is to hop on I-25, the main North-South artery for Colorado, or CO-470 West will take you west to I-70 and straight into the mountains. Red Rocks Park, Golden, Mount Evans, Idaho Springs, skiing, and all things alpine await you in the Rocky Mountains!
Take the I-25 Northbound exit for Fort Collins (New Belgium Brewery, Colorado State University, etc.) or pick up the 36 toward Boulder (University of Colorado, Pearl Street, Chautauqua, and more). Rocky Mountain National Park is located Northwest of Denver, about 1 hour and 35 minutes away. Estes Park is RMNP’s charming gateway town. South of Centennial, you’ll find Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods, Royal Gorge, and countless other beautiful destinations. Get exploring!

Try another place
This house is in a nice neighborhood but is showing its age as a lot of things are worn. We had 6 people and most the rooms felt about 10% too small. The kitchen was sparely furnished and we had to bring a number of times from another house to have a dinner there. There were several serious maintenance issues which we had to call about upon arrival. I will say the maintenance guy was good. The host (gang that could not shoot straight) was pretty bad. I asked about the grill after booking that they said they had and was told that was no longer there (had to ask twice). We changed our two dinner plans for use of the grill only to arrive and find there was, in fact, a grill. This after they first sent the arrival email that left the entry codes blank and then later sent a code for the garage that was incorrect. They told us the wrong day to put out the garbage, they called to schedule the maintenance guy an hour after he had already arrived, etc.... So very frustrating to deal with. If you can find a similar place I would avoid this outfit.

Quick getaway
The house was well taken care of and the attention to detail made this place a wonderful spot to spend the night after a concert at Fiddlers. Highly recommend!
