Lake Ohau cabin located just minutes from numerous walking tracks, the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail and the Ohau Snow Fields. The location is ideal for a weekend getaway with family and friends as well as a romantic get away for two.

Look forward to lighting the vibrant fire in the house, making it cozy and pleasant. The house has all you need for a comfortable stay with family and friends, whilst you can take in the breathtaking mountain views.

The beautiful and spacious property has 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms.

We loved our stay! Very comfortable, quiet and had everything we needed in between hikes. Hosts were very responsive and accommodating. Small little neighborhood that takes about 20-30 min to get to next town that has grocery store and small places to eat.

Stunning property

This log cabin is absolutely beautiful and very well appointed with everything you need. Nice and warm, great view of the ski field from the front windows, roaring log fire, high quality appliances, bed linen. Love the homage to the previous home sadly lost in the 2020 fires. We'll definitely be back. Loved our stay here in this gorgeous property. Thank you for having us.

Family sightseeing tour

Perfect location for visiting the Alpine Lakes. Come prepared and you’ll appreciate this Alpine village experience. Very comfortable property for our party of five adults and extremely well equipped. Great kitchen, comfortable beds and a powerful shower. Very cozy log cabin comfort quickly achieved with wood fire blazing in the stove. Good, stable WiFi for internet access when required.

Hiking & Stargazing near Twizel/Lake Ohau

Mikayla & Daniel were perfect hosts! They allows an early check-in and were quickly responsive to any questions we had! The log cabin is accurately shown and is "just like new" on the inside. The kitchen & pantry were well stocked with the hosts telling us to use what we needed. The fireplace was easy to light & the main room gives stunning views of the mountains. Beds were very comfortable. With only a few streetlight the stars were AMAZING on clear nights! We enjoyed hikes at Temple View Track and the trip to Aoraki was about 90 75 minutes... would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic

Our family group had a wonderful stay in the most scenic of surroundings. This property is one of many new rebuilds in the Lake Ohau Village after the 2020 fire, and there are some spectacular features incorporated into the build to highlight the history of the area. The house has been thoughtfully designed with open living spaces both indoors and outdoors. We enjoyed meals at the large family dining table and a highlight was the constant view of the changing mountain peaks out of the large picture windows. The home was spotless and well equipped, with everything provided for a comfortable stay. The pantry was stocked with basic staples if needed and there were plenty of the usual supplies to cater for our group of 8. We took day trips to explore local sights and enjoyed the scenic walking and lake swimming during our stay.This property was a gem and it was a shame we could not stay for longer.

Amazing Log Cabin

This Log Cabin was the perfect escape for a weekend retreat. The Cabin was impeccably clean and well presented (felt new), with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Mikayla was very friendly and helpful. The cabin has stunning views of the surrounding mountains and stars on a clear evening. It was also conveniently located near both Lake Ohau and lake Middleton. The cabin was spotless and well-maintained. The linens were fresh and the kitchen was fully equipped with clean dishes and cookware. The cabin had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We love the fireplace! The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking meals and the have a bbq on the deck (we didn't use the BBQ but a great amenity to have), the rooms are spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Ohau and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and relaxing getaway.
