Great spot

We were doing a survey of the jetties on the Rogue. Great spot, close to the job, everything we needed was there.

Peaceful home with views and comforts

This was a lovely house with a fairly well-equiped kitchen, strong wifi, comfortable seating and very clean. Views included a backyard that backed into a forest and a front partial view of the Pacific Ocean. The listing was a bit out-of-date regarding the guest contact, but the previous guest contact was helpful and contacted the owner and our questions were answered within a hour by the owner who apologized for the out-of-date info. This is the reason for the 4 stars on communication with property manager. A hand-mixer would be a nice addition to the home but otherwise we had all the pans/tools we needed to cook meals. The garage door openers were a nice plus to be able to use while we were there.

House in need of maintenance

The house is in a good location, but needs maintenance. Examples: the front deck sliding screen door is highly corroded and the inside handle is missing, leaving sharp rusty metal exposed. The front decking exhibits dryrot and at least one of the boards dips when walked on.There is a propane BBQ on the back deck, but it was absolutely filthy which rendered it unusable.

Upon arrival, it unfortunately fell short. We have stayed in rentals before, and the first thing we do when we land is be sure we don’t get blamed for something we didn’t do. Sure glad we did. Read More for Details…This summer my wife and I decided to plan a family vacation. We set out to find a location that would hit all the marks: house rental large enough for 2 families, near the beach, and halfway between California and Washington. The Rogue River was it! With the location picked, we set out to find our perfect stay. We looked at various locations that were on the beach, in the mountains, new homes, old homes, and settled on Tree Lined Gold Beach Retreat. From a glance, wrap around deck, forested backyard, 2 stories, with a driveway to park in, it seemed perfect. We booked it! Upon arrival, it unfortunately fell short. We have stayed in rentals before, and the first thing we do when we land is be sure we don’t get blamed for something we didn’t do. Sure glad we did. 1. The trash was overflowing. We did a walk around to locate the trash can as there was an empty one street side. The trash can at the back of the property was overflowing. There was a bin in the garage that greeted us with “recycle” items that made us wonder where we should discard our trash, and curious if the previous guests had the same question. We mentioned it to property management, they said leave the recycle in the garage, and the trash can was being replaced so leave it to be continued .
