Close to Lake Mission Viejo, local attractions and beaches. The pool is 75' and great for lap swimming. The Marguerite Aquatic Center is within a mile and hosts many pro am swim meets. Whether visiting Disneyland, beaches, swim meets or family in the area, this location is close to everything Southern California offers along with its sunny weather. Amenities include:

The Athena Aquatic Retreat proved to be a great stay. With such close proximity to Lake Mission Viejo and the Marguerite Aquatic Complex, public trails that are easily accessed from the street, and a great property, my group was extremely pleased. There was enough space for all eight guests. The kitchen was massive and the pool was clean. Both check-in and check-out were extremely easy.

Fantastic House!

Absolutely loved our stay! The house is perfect in size and location! We cooked a Thanksgiving meal and they had everything needed in the kitchen, plus great ovens and appliances! The bedrooms were spacious with wonderful bedding and towels! Easy to get to places and get back! We loved loved loved it! Thank you!

Nephews wedding

Traveled to West Coast for nephews wedding. The house was close to the wedding venue and other areas of interest. The house was perfect, great kitchen and open floor plan. The pool/spa were great! Easy drive to Laguna and Newport Beach areas. While not great options for direct flights, John Wayner airport is easy in and out.

Tournament lodging

This was an amazing place to stay! The bedrooms were beautiful and the views on the balconies at sunrise are amazing. The pool was huge so it never felt crowded and the hot tub was key for us after coming back from our games. The only small item was that the floors were dirty when we came. My socks were black the first day abe anyone barefoot had to clean their feet before bed. Everything else was wonderful!

PROS - The property manager was responsive and friendly. The location was great for our needs. The neighborhood is very nice with walking trails. The home is spacious and comfortable. The mattresses are on the harder side, which we enjoy.CONS - The house lacked many standard items and comforts to make a vacation enjoyable. Kitchen items were substandard or nonexistent, for example, there was not even a corkscrew and the everyday utensils were very old and dingy. Some kitchen outlets weren't working and the warming drawer did not work (which we wanted for our Thanksgiving food.) The closets had barely any hangers, and what they did have were old, plastic store-style or wire and and many were small children sizes. This rendered the main bedroom closet (which is beautiful and the size of a small room) basically useless.The pool, which was the main draw to this house, was basically never used because it would not heat up to an acceptable temperature. We paid an extra 500 to heat the pool which was never warm enough. The hot tub, although very small, did work, but it was controlled with an app that did not work while away from the home. We could not have it ready after an evening away.There is an alarm in the house which alerts every time an outside door is open or closed - it's loud and not necessary, and we could not turn it off.

A few of the items you mentioned are very easy to fix, and I only wish I had known about them during your stay. You reached out about some issues and I was happy to help, and I would have gladly addressed the others as well. Since your visit, I’ve added new corkscrews, refreshed kitchen utensils, upgraded closet hangers, and scheduled checks on the stove drawer and outlets. For the pool, I began heating it well before your arrival, though winter weather and rain can affect how warm the water stays. I appreciate the note, as it helps set expectations for colder months. The spa is app-controlled, and I was happy to assist during your stay when needed. The door alarm is a pool-safety feature but can be turned off upon request — something I would have been glad to do. Thank you again for your stay and for offering helpful suggestions. Your feedback truly helps me continue improving the guest experience.

Great house for a big group

Big, beautiful house that worked well for our multi-generational group (2 seniors, 4 adults, 3 teens, 2 kids). Some things to note - there is a step up and down from the downstairs bedroom and into the family room, which wasn't visible in the pictures of the home. This was difficult for our seniors to navigate, but they were able to walk through the adjoining bathroom on level surface to avoid the step into the bedroom. There is also no gate surrounding the pool, but the doors are all alarmed so we were able to tell when someone opened a door and make sure the kids weren't outside alone. The huge walk-in closet in the master bedroom was a perfect dark sleeping space for the 2 year old in a pack-n-play. The pool and hot tub were great and the heat was programmed through an app. If you need a home in south orange county for a large group of people, this is a good option.
