🌲🌲Twin Tree Cabin in Magical Port Renfrew

This warm and cozy cabin is the perfect place to unwind and relax. Steps to some of the most beautiful beaches on the wild West Coast of Vancouver Island. Port Renfrew offers world class fishing, hiking, and surfing. Botanical Beach, Sombrio Beach, and Avatar Grove are just a few of the breathtaking destinations that captivate visitors and locals alike. Nearby are a couple of hidden gems - bring your kayak and explore Fairy Lake, and see the "most photographed tree in Western Canada" - a natural bonsai.
The Space:
This quaint cedar cabin has everything you would need to make it "home away from home". A fully stocked kitchen, with a full-size fridge and stove. A huge oversized deck to relax on, or perhaps barbeque up a fresh salmon catch, and then settle in by the stunning outdoor stone fireplace. This is a quiet and peaceful cabin community of owners and guests - there is a palpable sense of tranquility whispered in the trees and in the distant crashing of the waves.
The cabin is professionally cleaned with a full hotel-grade linen change between each guest.
Guest access:
Guests will be given the code to access to a secure lock box for keys one day prior to arrival. There is parking for 2 vehicles, or one vehicle and one boat/trailer. Access to Pacific Gateway Marina is just a minute away.
There is a shared community laundry space available to cabin guests for longer stays (1 week or longer). There is a TV with Firestick for streaming (Netflix, Apple TV) and a DVD player and great selection of movies.
Kayaks are for owner use only, thank you.
Other things to note:
The main cabin is one bedroom/one bathroom. Please note the Bunkhouse is not attached to main cabin, but does have heat and lights, and a very solid and comfortable twin bunkbed (may not be suitable for guests with young children - probably more suited to guests 12 yrs and up).
Guest will have use of firewood, for use at the cabin only.

You had a great sty for the week we were at Port Renfrew. The place was well stocked, with everything we needed for the week. Great location and a great little patio with a fireplace. We really enjoyed our stay and we plan on returning again next year.

Very nice setting amongst the trees. I took off one star because it is never pleasant having to throw out old expired food items to make room for one’s own groceries. Not too much going on in Port Renfrew itself but it’s a nice base for excursions to nearby beaches and towns (Lake Cowichan). Would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Lovely stay

Perfect cosy cabin for a little getaway to botanical beach. It's in amongst a bunch of other cabins, but it still felt very private. Host was very easy to communicate with.

Everything you need

Everything was great. Not sure about hot water it seemed to be warm for about 30 seconds then went cold. so showering wasn't ideal. House is very equipped with everything you need, spices, board games, ketchup, mustard...ect... loved the outside fireplace as it even had firewood!.. I would stay again for sure. Thank You.

What a beautiful Place to stay at the cabin was decorated very nicely and it was equipped woth things just incase you have forgotten things No we had an amazing time just didn’t know where to put the garbage but I texted the owner of the cabin and she got right back to me and told me where I had to go to drop it off Definetly will go back

Great cozy small cabin

This is it's really is great cozy small cabin that is incredibly well stocked. We have never stayed in a VRBO that was so well stocked everything from condiments, spices ( some of which I hadn't even heard of), bathroom supplies, first aid equipment, cleaning supplies, assorted bags (sandwich,etc.), games, DVD's, Netflix, Prime Video candles, flashlights,aluminum foil, saran wrap on and on. The bed was comfortable with a queen sized bed. The only real negative is that it is quite small. We were on a 4 week vacation with a lot of luggage. so found it quite difficult for us to find spaces, for things. Also, there was only one stool for the kitchen counter. It would have been nice to have had 2. It is in a nice setting and quite private. All in all, I would highly recommend it and it probably deserves a 4.6-4.7.

First time in Port Renfrew was lovely.

Loved the cozy little cottage although did not use the bunkhouse. Three os us stayed but we used the cabin's couch bringing in bedding from the bunkhouse. We needed easier access to the bathroom during the night.

Comfortable, Cozy, Brilliant location

Mmmmmmm, just preparing to write this review makes me feel cozy and relaxed again. What a wonderful cabin and location. All well-appointed and easy to shift into, zero pressure to do anything, lol. The area is gorgeous and relaxed, fun to explore and orient. The cabin is comfy and quiet. Two of us enjoyed alternating binging tv and exploring the beaches, with an awesome dinner at the Renfrew Pub one night. Bring your own food, for sure. Easy kitchen to work with. Mmmm, I'm all relaxed now. Thanks for hosting such a lovely stay.

Cozy Cottage

Very good overall accommodation at a moderate price for the Port Renfrew area. Private parking and a small but nice cabin with a separate bunk house that has twin bunk beds. There is a kitchen with everything you need, one queen bed in the cabin, and a couch that we used as a twin bed - but you need to bring your own bedding for the couch. Though some of the furnishings were dated, it was comfortable and clean.

Port Renfrew is simply magical. There is an almost spiritual element here, a sense of peace when staying here. The beaches are majestic, wide and surreal in all seasons. Some of the largest trees in the world have been growing in the area for thousands of years. Visiting Port Renfrew feels restorative to body and soul.

This charming locally built cabin is in a small community of cabins, close to everything you would need: the General Store, 2 Pubs, 2 Restaurants, the Pacific Gateway Marina. All are easily walking distance.
There is a large outdoor stone fireplace and wonderful large cedar deck to enjoy a nice drink, read a book, or have great conversation.
