Modern clean spacious apartment
The apartment was lovely and bright and had everything you could possibly need in it. Communication with the owners was brilliant. It is situated on a fairly busy road which when we were there created a fair bit of dust - but the views are lovely. The balcony could do with a couple of fold up chairs to sit on. But it was extremely hot - the temperature is centrally controlled which meant that it was constantly at around 21c. This is far too hot to sleep in. We were out and about during the day and left the blinds down all the time to stop the sun also getting in so not a huge problem but at night you had to leave the blinds up in order to open the windows. The more cool air we let in the more the heating came on! This meant that you were woken early by light and traffic noise outside. It must be unbearable in the summer. The second bedroom has no windows or natural light at all. We visited in May and found that we were between the winter and summer seasons. Many shops and restaurants appeared to be shut - no lifts working, no visitor centre open up the mountain so if you plan to go up the mountain and see Boo bear or enjoy the hiking perhaps avoid this time of year. This is no reflection on the accommodation. Golden is a brilliant base from which you can access all the tourist spots easily but seemed a little deserted when we visited.
