Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)
This spacious, open-air condo is located at Paniolo Hale Condominiums on the island of Moloka'i, Hawaii. The architecture is plantation-style, with two white french doors spanning the length of the main floor. It is two-story, with one bedroom on the upper floor, and a full bathroom on each floor.
The ceilings are high on each level, equipped with ceiling fans. Outside the french doors is a screened-in lanai with a hammock underneath a canopy of large trees. Guests call our place "The Treehouse." The grounds are beautifully landscaped with tropicals. Just a 2-minute walk away is Kepuhi Beach.
Moloka'i is only 20 minutes by air from Hawaii's most populous islands, Oahu and Maui, and yet has a totally unique, different feel. It has been described as "The island in Hawaii the world left behind." The scenery has an untamed and isolated beauty about it. It is truly a quiet, peaceful, noncommercialized place. The people are friendly, and you get the sense that you have experienced "the real Hawaii." It is the perfect place if you really want to get away from it all.
The condo is located on West Moloka'i, the drier, sunny side of the island.

Why Shell Pate chose Maunaloa
My husband vacationed in Maui every year with his family as a child and loved it. We decided we wanted to buy a place as an investment, but in a quieter, less populated place than Maui. We took a 4-day whirlwind trip to Molokai and couldn't believe that such an undiscovered, untamed place existed in Hawaii.
What makes this Condo unique
Our condo has been called "The Tree House" by our guests. As you open the front door, you can see past the living room, through the french doors to the screened-in lanai. Large Hawaiian trees spread horizontally in every direction.

Nice for Molokai.
We stayed for 9 days and everything worked in the unit except the water pressure was exceptionally low and that never changed the entire time. Not sure why because I stayed here before and the pressure seemed normal. The unit is clean, and the owner had made an effort to have the basic cleaning supplies available for laundry, dishes, soaps, shampoos etc which was thoughtful and appreciated. There were some new pans and some old pans but we were able to do everything we attempted in the kitchen. I can appreciate how hard it is to get all those items on an island. Basically, if you have not been to MKK you may be expecting something different, but for MKK it was a great little place at a very affordable price and Paniolo Hale is by far the best place to stay on island. I prefer the shade and cooler units to those of an ocean view, so this unit is great as you feel like you are in a tree house by yourself except for one window on the lanai which looks out at the neighbors. There used to be a hammock which was gone now and I missed it. I don't like being able to walk to the window where I can see the neighbor so it provided a nice little buffer. Please bring it back if possible :). The Hammock also used to make a nice clothes line to dry out the damp beach towels/suits quickly. All in all it was exactly what I was expecting...
Wonderful, roomy, relaxing, great beaches
I loved the open-air feeling of this Paniolo Hale condo... with the French doors open you hey nice breezes, hear the birds and frogs and geckos, and definitely feel like you are a part of nature. The neighbors are friendly, and don’t miss the nightly sunset viewings! (Take the lawn chairs straight out to the beach.) You can watch the brave surfers most days. Then walk a few minutes north or south for more beautiful beaches!
The condo is roomy, the kitchen is well-stocked, Wi-Fi is good, and I got pretty good AT&T reception from the Lanai. Feels like a home, not a hotel. And these condos have way more privacy than most of the Kepuhi beach condos.
Roomy and peaceful. Great hiking trails and beaches.
Very much as advertised: peaceful, quiet, condo with great beach access and plenty of space for two.
Would definitely recommend it to others!
Everything you need
From snorkel gear and beach towels to cookware, pretty much everything you need is provided.
It is a nice roomy condo that is pretty well kept... some very minor TLC might be in order, but that is true of just about every place I have stayed in Molokai.
Great beach in front of condo property, we had two monk seals laying there all day one day. Awesome!
Accommodating, beautiful & relaxing
T2 was a perfect choice for four of us to stay. It has a bedroom, full bath & washer/dryer upstairs. Downstairs is another full bath, a queen hide-a-bed & double futon. The home is stocked with everything you would need.
Tour the Moloka'i Coffee Plantation, a macadamia nut farm or a plumeria flower farm. Take a 2-hr. drive around the island to Halawa Valley, and hike up Halawa Valley Falls. Ride a mule down the world's steepest sea cliffs. Visit the rain forest of Kamakou Preserve. One of our favorite things to do is to take a picnic lunch (the condo has a cooler, beach chairs and towels just for this purpose) and play at Dixie Maru Beach, the west side of the island's best swimming beach. This island is perfect for exploring. Go find your own beach for the day
