A Balinese haven, beautifully appointed and immaculately clean. Lisa was lovely to deal with. Would definitely stay again.

West coast getaway

Excellent getaway spot for much needed R&R. Beautiful location with hosts that are very helpful and have the place looking mint.Thanks Lisa & Mark for the awesome experience.

Beautiful

Beautiful property, inside and out. Great communication with owners. We have stayed in many vacation rentals across the world and this was one of the top. Would definitely stay again.

A real gem!

We had an amazing 3 night stay including New Year’s Eve at the Bamboo Bungalow.A real attention to details inside and outside with great decoration, an extremely well maintained tropical garden. Enjoyed the outdoor tub, and watching the night sky on the deck.Highly recommended!

Bamboo Bungalow

Everything about this stay was ranked 5 stars! Mark & Lisa’s Balinese styled home & garden is gorgeous & although we didn’t get to try out the pizza oven or outdoor bath (in winter), the log fire in the kitchen (which was lit before our arrival) kept us warm & cosy. It is a perfect place to return to after a day exploring around Karamea & the locals are very friendly. Communications, booking & accommodation were all PREMO! Try to stay at least 3 nights - it’s worth it!

Fantastic Indoor/Outdoor Space!

Our family was at Bamboo Bungalow over the holidays and we LOVED our time there. The outdoor garden, patio and wood fired oven really made our time enjoyable. We even made some home made pizzas. The indoor area with large folding doors that open to the patio make you feel one with nature and the outdoors. Inside it was beautifully decorated and we had everything we needed. The living room was a great gathering spot for our family and the views out the window made it even better.It's remote which we loved, but do remember to bring your water and any food you might need as once you arrive, you won't really want to leave. We highly recommend this special spot and the owners were great hosts and very responsive.

We love living in this part of the West Coast. The surfing, beach and walks are a big part of our lives here. We love our garden and wanted to share this little piece of Paradise with guests. We also have a Glamping site in the Kapiti Coast North Island- Dreamscape Glamping. Creating great spaces and experiences for people is what we are both passionate about.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

We've spent time in Indonesia so this is as close to what we could create while not being there. My partners passion is the garden and I love the interior side of things. This is a little piece of Bali without travelling all that way. Our gardens and our decor reflect this. Its peaceful and tucked away but not too far away from the local Pub, 4 Square, Restaurants, walks and hikes.

The garden is unique for this area. We are also a hop step and jump from the Estuary, River and beach which is great for paddle boarding, surfing, kayaking or White Bait fishing in the season.
