Summary:

Large brick home that is walking distance to Donner Park (community swimming pool, pickleball, tennis, basketball court, disc golf) and a very short drive to downtown Columbus and the new Nexus Park Sport Complex.



There is a spacious living room, kitchen, dining room, and a large basement with family room that includes an air hockey table. There are 3 different desks in the house for remote working. The new lanai over the back patio has lighting and ceiling fans, Bluetooth speakers, and a cornhole set for entertainment. The backyard is fully fenced-in and perfect for your family gatherings or just relaxing. All the essentials are provided such as sheets, blankets, towels, bath and shower toiletries and laundry supplies for your entire group.



Pickleball and disc golf sets at the home for your convenience.

This very comfortable 3bdr/2.5ba home is walking distance to Donner Park and a very short drive to downtown Columbus and the new NexusPark Sport and Recreation Facility. It is 2850 sq ft. bursting with warmth and comfort. A spacious living room and kitchen with dining room, a large basement with family room that includes an air hockey table. There are 3 different desks in the house for remote working. This home features a private backyard with plenty of fenced in space, perfect for your family gatherings or just relaxing. Home is only minutes from downtown Columbus. All the essentials are provided such as sheets, blankets, towels, bath and shower toiletries and laundry supplies for your entire group.



**A FEW STEPS REQUIRED TO ENTER THE HOUSE, STAIRS REQUIRED TO ACCESS 2ND LEVEL OR BASEMENT.**



SLEEPING AREAS:

Master suite with king-size bed and en-suite full bathroom (upstairs)

Guest bedroom with queen-size bed

Guest bedroom with (2) twin-size beds

Spare room (no door) with twin-size bed (upstairs)

Family room with large sectional sofa (downstairs)



COMMON AREAS:

Fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances, dining area, living room, family room, laundry room (with laundry chute), redone backyard with privacy fence, hair dryer, and vacuum cleaner are also available.



PARKING:

Driveway can accommodate 2-3 vehicles plus street parking.



ENTERTAINMENT:

65` HDTV in family room with Smart TV (cable TV provided with YouTubeTV).

58" HDTV in living room with Smart TV. Streaming apps available, please bring your own passwords.

PETS: 

Please let us know if you have pets as dogs only (max of 2) are welcome to stay here. There is a per pet fee of $10 per day (plus tax). We do require that you have a place to keep your pet (i.e. dog crate, pet carrier, etc.) while you may be away from the house. We also need to know a few things about your pet (color, breed, weight, and age). Please let us know these details at booking time so that we are able to inform the community of your pet. Please note that guests are still responsible for picking up after their pet. Additional cleaning fees may be charged for pet messes left behind.



*We do our best to ensure guests have a 5-star experience. Guests will be provided with a startup supply of household items such as laundry soap, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper etc. so that upon check in you do not need to run to the store. If you are staying longer than a few days, you will need to purchase these items. Thank you!



When booking, please let us know how many guests will be in your party as well as how many vehicles you will have on-site, as well as the nature of your visit. With that info we can make sure the home is ready for your group and that you have all the necessary supplies, linens, etc. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.



LOUD PARTIES AND LARGE GATHERINGS ARE NOT PERMITTED.



Please only book this home if you will respect the neighborhood and its residents. Please limit noise when you are outside and observe quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM.



LONG TERM STAYS: We offer discounts for longer term stays. Contact us for details!



If your trip is more adventure focused, the home is located near Brown County State Park, Lake Monroe reservoir, and other local attractions. If you are going to be travelling around southern Indiana while in the area don't forget to visit some other well known attractions such as the French Lick Scenic Railway, West Baden Springs Hotel, Marengo Cave, and Clifty Falls Park in Madison.

The house is a non-smoking, non-vaping property. Evidence of smoking inside the home will result in a $250 fine. Guests are responsible for picking up any exterior waste they create including evidence of smoking. Additional cleaning fees may be charged. Evidence of Marijuana left in the home will also result in a $250 fine.



This property may require a lease to be signed for any stays of 30 days or more. Typically, the terms are no different from what you agree to on this site and this is more a requirement by the state and/or this community. This home also has a utility cap that applies for stays of 30 days or more. The homeowner pays all home utilities up to a utility cap of $200, the tenant pays any utilities over cap. This cap typically only applies in the summer months depending on tenant utility usage.

Guest Access:

Groups will have access to all areas of the home. You also have access to the laundry room if you`ve been on the road for a while, and the kitchen in case you want to cook a home-cooked meal.

We HIGHLY advise having a car if you stay with us, and we have off-street parking available for you. However, there is public transportation in Columbus and the bus does stop at the stop sign just in front of the home. Feel free to ask about distances, and we can let you know average drive times.

We expect all our guests to not only treat our location with care and respect but to also leave the place in respectable condition for our cleaning team. We by no means expect you to fully clean the property before you depart and instead request that guests clean up their spills and messes as they occur and remove any extra garbage that may build up during the stay. Excessive amounts of garbage and extra messiness may require an additional cleaning charge for our cleaning team.

My family and I chose to stay here during a work trip. This was a truly great property. It has a very nice layout and the finished basement is awesome. Great outdoor space as well. Would definitely stay here again!

The house was as described. It was clean, well furnished, and centrally located. My only two minor complaints are related to traffic noise, and the fact that neither of the tubs had working drain plugs. We were traveling with a 13-month-old and could not easily bathe her. Other than that, it was a great place to touchdown while visiting family.

Peaceful, comfortable and cozy. Enjoyed the proximity to activities in Columbus during stay. Having WiFi was a big plus as Zoom meetings were necessary for work. House had ample space, back patio was nice for morning coffee. Did not use many of the rooms or outdoor fireplace - but would absolutely stay again.

Awesome house in a safe and quiet part of Columbus. Kitchen was large and easy to cook the family. Comfortable bedrooms and multiple bathrooms (lowkey more important than multiple bedrooms). Both ground level and basement had comfortable couches and large t.v.s. backyard would be a fun hangout if an ice storm had not hit. Good news bad news the owners are not easily reachable. Good news, you have space and comfort without an overbearing owner/host. They were responsive in a decent time frame via VRBO messages. Their emergency number went to voicemail and no call back was received. Granted, it was late at night but the ice storm has knocked out power and we didn't have contact info to help re-establish power, and get the heat working. It all worked out and we enjoyed our stay. Seriously, how often does an ice storm knock out power? We definitely recommend this rental.

Indoor Fun

My family stayed over spring break. We had a really nice time in the house. There was enough space for 6-7 people. The space was clean. The stay instructions are really easy, they do more than other VRBOs.My family came over for dinner a couple of times and everyone wanted to come back for air hockey, basketball and pickleball.We would stay again!

Cozy, convenient Bungalow

Great property, very sweetly maintained with well-chosen updates by owners! Comfortable and generally clean; kitchen stocked and amazing back yard for warmer days. Four stars instead of five: Sink was non-functional on arrival and through holiday, seems to have been a known issue that the short-term-rental company had not solved. Fortunately, not an issue as we were in local family's kitchen for the holidays and we have tried to let owners know. Would stay here again!
