5 stars all the way!

  • 5 of 5

A small group of us stayed at the Overlook the weekend after Thanksgiving. You cannot beat this location right on the dunes! The house was roomy for the five of us and overlooked the beautiful lake. The ATV shed makes storing toys easy and the access to the dunes is a super short ride down the road. Mike was very friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to return!!

Family fun

  • 5 of 5

We have rented both the 2 berm and the studio from the owners numerous times now and can readily say both properties are. Wry clean and comfortable and well stocked with the necessities to make a stay there very comfortable.

Great affordable spot by the dunes!

  • 5 of 5

We rented the a-frame and the studio when we were in town for my brother's wedding. The a-frame is really cute and comfy, with a nice deck that looks over the little lake. The studio is nice as well and is connected very closely with the a-frame. My sister and her husband had their 2 week old infant with them so they took the studio and it worked great for them to have a quiet separate spot but next door to us. We spent most of our time at the wedding site so we didn't get to take advantage of the rowboat or go play in the dunes, but Dune Haven is right there so we could have if we had time. The owners were very friendly on the phone and in person (I met Mike and spoke to Nancy on the phone). Nancy told me up front about the rule regarding no extra unregistered guests which I appreciated, so then I was able to decide if I still wanted to rent it - which I did. Because I knew we would be at the wedding most of the time that rule did not bother me. The price was very affordable and it was way better than a hotel, and fun to stay with my other siblings all in a group. Also I loved staying in a nice quiet cabin when I was not at the wedding!

A true gem in the sand!

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from our Oregon vacation and Dune Haven was one of our favorite memories. Super cute and clean with a great little lake to row a boat on or cast out a line. My son and hubby had their ATVs and spent 3 days playing in the sand, which you can ride to from the property. That allowed me to take the car and go exploring. The owner was great, easy going and helpful. This is a super find if you plan to ride the dunes and need quick access (comes with a garage to store your vehicles in too). I sat and drank morning coffee and watched the mama feed her baby birds in the birdhouse by our place, there were wild blackberries to pick and it was very quaint. There's plenty of dunes to ride with direct access and the location could not be better as you can get to Coos Bay fast to get groceries or anything you need. We feel fortunate to have found this place and it's a keeper on our list. The boys will be back I've no doubt, and I'd even tag along too! It was super fun.

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed three times at Dune Haven and loved it every time. Everything is always clean and tidy when we get there and views are amazing of Saunders Lake. There's quick access to the dunes to play in, beaches and trails in the woods. Thank you Mike and Nancy for a great time!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the help stacking firewood. You can't ask for better guests than that! Mike

Dune access and a gorgeous lake view

  • 5 of 5

Family had a great time. Ride the RZR's right out to the dunes. The place was clean and nice although I didn't know anyone still had crt TV's. We didn't need the TV though. Lots of dune riding to do instead.
