Welcome to the Lake House

Looking for a quiet relaxing vacation away from the hustle bustle of city life and light pollution ? Here you will find a calm peaceful settling watching the sun set over the lake, explore the galaxies above, hear the loons calling, see the eagles sore, and watch the sandhill cranes saunter around the lake ! A nature lovers paradise. Many hiking trails around and beautiful waterfalls to see only a short drive away. You will not be disappointed ! If you are looking for a ladies retreat/getaway, look no further. We are able to host a ladies weekend or yoga retreat. We can sleep up to 6 ladies. Message me for additional pricing for these bookings. NOTE : ALL Holiday weekends are a 3 night minimum booking.

The Lake House is a beautiful and relaxing stay with all the amenities you could ask for. It’s a great location to explore the Bruce Peninsula and Georgian Bay.Denise was a wonderful and welcoming host and provided us with great recommendations to enjoy during our stay.

We had an amazing time this weekend! The place is beautiful and immaculate. And the lake . Denise greeted us personally when we got there, and went over her fantastic binder of places to go see, and eat. We had everything we needed there. We were fortunate that the weather was perfect too! We were able to have a bonfire, which was all set up for us. Just a perfect getaway for our anniversary We will definitely be back!

Amazing retreat

We had a wonderful time staying at Denise’s lake house.She was welcoming and incredibly friendly even offered us fresh herbs from her garden. We kayaked on the lake which was peaceful and serene and later enjoyed a fire. The lake house is exactly what we needed to relax and with it being located so close to Wiarton we were able to explore the area with ease. Thank you so much Denise for your kindness it felt like home away from home.

Quick get away

This place is modern and has everything you need (fridge, stove, BBQ etc). The property owner Denise is very accommodating and can answer any questions you may have about the area as well. Would definitely stay again! Short 3-4 minute walk to the water and fire pit on site!

Beautiful property. So many great hikes in the area and Denise and Ron are incredible hosts. Highly recommend and hope to go back again soon. The house has everything you need for a very comfortable and relaxing get away.

Everything was perfect. Beautifully decorated and smelled like a spa! Such a warm and welcoming space. Perfect location to owen sound , wiarton and Bruce Trail. Denise gave us so many great suggestions. The Cesaro restaurant in OS was amazing. Fancy coffees every morning by the lake with beautiful chimes. Fun card games available on the first floor for night time wine and listening to music on the Bose Saw cranes and baby loons. Not enough time to do it all, so we'll be back!!! Thanks, Denise!

We couldn’t have wanted more! Such an amazing stay. The Lake House has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen is fully equipped with all your needs. The lake is absolutely beautiful and beyond peaceful with all the wildlife and beautiful views. Denise and Ron were such incredible hosts. And there’s sooo much to do around this area
caves, golfing etc. We highly recommend this property.

I enjoyed three nights at Lake House on the Bruce Peninsula. I wanted a little get away and a nostalgia trip to some favourite places in the area. Lake House fulfilled my objectives perfectly. I did a few meals on site with the well equipped kitchen and Denise supplied a welcoming vase of fresh herbs and later some peas and cucumber from her garden. I also went to a few eateries recommended in the detailed welcome book. As it is suggested that I comment on bed comfort, I will tell you I was wishing I knew where to get such a comfortable mattress. The accommodations were perfect for a short get away with lots of things to do and see in the area when I wished to do that. But some quiet time was also a joy. I would highly recommend Lake House as is a quieter choice than beach front options.

Relaxing Retreat

Had an amazing time at the Lakehouse. Our host was very personable and took the time to provide information on places to eat, hike and wildlife in the area. The Lakehouse was spotless, spacious and very comfortable. The location is no more than 30 minutes from many areas of interest including trails, beaches, quaint restaurants, ice cream and waterfalls. We would definitely go again to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Wonderful holiday in the Bruce Peninsula

Spent an enjoyable weekend at the Lake House. Perfect for a couple looking to enjoy the outdoors and still have all the comforts of home. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed to start our days out right (including fresh herbs I added to our omelets!) We hiked along the Bruce Trail and saw some nice waterfalls and amazing views of Lake Huron from the Lion's Head Lookout Trail. Wished we had another day since we didn't get a chance to kayak (at the Lake House) since we were out and about the entire time. Denise and Ron are wonderful hosts and very responsive. We can't to come back!

Awesome beautiful relaxing getaway for two!

The hosts Denise and Ron were fabulous, warm and inviting by introducing themselves when we arrived, showing us around and keeping in contact to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The Lakehouse is in the perfect central location of Bruce County and is only a 10 minute drive to Wiarton. A binder was provided full of information and maps regarding the region's attractions, shopping and dining. An added personal touch was leaving an assortment of vegetables and herbs picked from their garden for us to use in the full functioning kitchen and Denise also shared one night with us a freshly baked dessert she had made. The Lakehouse is private and quiet, spotless, beautifully renovated and decorated with a mix of old and new, very comfortable and supplied with all the amenities of home. The serene lake, which is a short walk on the property, was the perfect place at night to have a bonfire, and to watch the sunsets and stars. Overall highly recommend this beautiful quiet relaxing romantic getaway for two!

My partner and I had a wonderful time at the Lake House! Denise and Ron were so welcoming and very accommodating. They were very kind and helpful with any questions or concerns throughout our stay.
