The house was very charming. Unfortunately we didn't take the layout described seriously and with my parents in their 80's the stairs to the bedrooms were a problem for us. the plumbing needs a little work but for a younger family it would be an awesome experience.

The property manager was very responsive and nice. This space was perfect for our needs. It was centrally located so we could attend the funeral we were in town for and still do the attractions like Fort Knox and Rockland. There was plenty of space to hang out together or find a quiet space. My favorite spot was the top floor balcony. The view was beautiful and neighborhood quiet. We would stay again

The location and scenery were very good. We had good communication with our host and enjoyed the amount of space in the house. We were surprised to find that the water is not filtered but the host provided bottled drinking water. The place was full of scented air fresheners which we had to remove because of allergies but parts of the apartment had an unpleasant smell after this. Some windows couldn’t be opened because of broken glass that hadn’t been replaced and the living room had doors that should have opened to a balcony that wasn’t there. It’s a rustic, clean, peaceful place but it does have some things that need attending to.

Corey and Amy went out of their way to make sure our family had a good vacation. The house is In a beautiful spot with lots of outdoor activities to do.

Relaxation

We came from Florida to visit family . We went canoeing & enjoyed having a fire out back & watching the ufc fights on the big screen . We were all very comfy and cozy and Corey and Amy We’re very accommodating! We sure look forward to coming back and staying again soon!!!

Weekend in Maine

In Maine visiting UMaine Orono. Property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. House had plenty of room, 2nd floor bed was comfortable. Close to campus, restaurants, and the view of the lake was lovely. Some aesthetic aspects of the home appeared unfinished/in progress, but this did not negatively affect our stay. Thank you!!

Spacious mess

Property could be nice, however it is not maintained well. Pictures are deceiving of the property and the water is not clear. Space of the house is fantastic, however half of the stay we could not use the rooms because of the smell. 3 windows had screens, one was completely broken, ac froze over, porch felt unsafe, sewage backed up into the basement, broken glass all over the property. Voiced our concerns and took many hours for management to get back to us. Corey was very kind and came and pumped sewage out of washing machine. However we expected someone to come and fix the problem later on, and no one was ever did. Sewage backed up again because no one came to fix the problem. We made the best of our vacation, but would we stay again? Absolutely not.
Hard to see, but sewage siphoned into the washer in the basement. The host pumped it out of the washer, but never fixed the issue, which came back 2 days later.
Top of window was a wood/plastic panel, bottom was broken glass.
Cardboard we added to keep bugs out instead of self adhesive flooring which kept falling out of window.
Mouse droppings in cabinets, beyond where they paint. We had to wash all dishes in these cabinets.

Disappointed

The location on the pond was very nice. The view though looking next door of the neighbors property was a trashy home with a junk pile of old items. The property wasn’t very clean. There were cobwebs, dust and dirt in all the closets and items were broken. The one AC unit upstairs didn’t work. Many of the windows and doors didn’t have screens so you could open the windows with out bugs getting in. Luckily it was not hot. The deck boards on the upper deck were soft and maybe unsafe for a large person. A light was broken and hanging in the bathroom. I called to owners and they offered to come out and fix the light but, the cleanliness and so many other things needed attention I said, “don’t worry about it.” I was on the trip in the area because I was bringing my daughter to school. The only reason I didn’t ask for a refund and stay somewhere else is because I had so much to do with my daughter getting her settled in that I wasn’t going to be spending much time on the property. I saved a lot of money for the trip thinking I would have a cozy, clean place to unwind at night and I didn’t. It was dissatisfying.
