Bask in the light through the massive windows in the open-concept family room or take a nap on the oversize furniture in the beautiful sunroom. Stroll across the street to the public pathway and the expansive beach, close enough to easily run back and forth as needed! Please note the owners of the home reside with cats 10 months of the year.

Great home, well stocked with all the supplies we needed. Lots of space for everyone. Gorgeous yard and the piano/sunroom is a great touch.

Great Home

We got hit with some thunderstorms during our stay, so planned beach days made us stick home inside!! Lots of space, lots of areas to sit…. Big dining room table for games! We had an amazing time and will probably return next year!

My family thoroughly enjoyed their stay in Gimli in this wonderful home. Mike's communication was excellent and he was always quick to respond. He was super understanding when we reached out regarding the laundry room door being inadvertently locked by a little traveller.We were able to check in early which was welcome after a day of travel. The spacious kitchen had everything you need to make every meal.The open concept living, dining and kitchen made it easy for everyone to spend time together. The kids were able to watch tv while the adults gathered around the table. The kids loved the big backyard, air hockey and ping pong. Wifi was quick and could handle all of our devices.We took in the beach multiple times during our stay. Such easy access across the street and down the footpath. We will be recommending this home to our family members in the area and will definitely rebook next time we are back.Thank you so much!

Paradise in Gimli

House design was one of our greatest highlights. Loved the open concept kitchen / dining / entertainment area, allowed us all to be together inside even while doing chores or playing games online. Wifi was more than adequate for several people to be poking around online at once. The Kitchen was a chef's playground with all accessories and tools accounted for by the hosts. (sick bbq!) A room with bunk beds was set up for our son, with some toys, art supplies and more. There were board games galore, and a beautiful piano that wasn't mentioned in the listing that we all enjoyed. Beds were fantastic, best sleep we've had staying anywhere, really.Host was fantastic and communicative, helped us out a couple of times in an extremely timely fashion. Beach was a 3-4 minute walk, relatively private, very nice. (Might recommend some water sandals- a wee bit rocky.) Town was less than a 5 minute drive Back yard was super spacious and glorious to play some frisbee, or for the kids to play on a ninja line structure with a swing, climbing apparatus and more. We felt the ad listing was under-selling it to be honest. 11/10 Would love to stay again.

Not Satisfied

The front door did not close well due to a damaged door jam. One light switch and one plug in did not have covers making them a hazard to small children. The floor was quite dirty which we swept imediatly so everything didn't stick to our feet. Microwave was very dirty so we cleaned that as well.The home owners obviously have pets in the home since there were a lot of pet hair on all the furniture which we vacuumed as much as possible. We chose this cottage because the listing said no pets allowed, assuming that meant it would be pet hair free. One of our children had a rough time with this since he has alergies. Supplies in the home were very useful and appreciated. We enjoyed the location but will not be staying in this cottage again. Mostly due to the pet hair. It wasn't great having to clean the place before feeling comfortable.
