REMARKABLE LOOKOUT with a remarkable view and remarkable location: Aptly named Remarkable Lookout, a stand-alone four-bedroom home perched on the hillside, presents unobstructed views of Queenstown’s iconic landscapes and fantastic outdoor living in a peaceful yet convenient Queenstown Hill location.
VIEWS: From its elevated position overlooking Lake Wakatipu, Remarkable Lookout offers a front row seat of the Remarkables Mountain range and a fantastic vantage point encompassing the Crown Range, Frankton Bay, Cecil Peak and Walter Peak. Whether basking in the warm glow of sunrise or watching the sun set behind the mountains, the views from this home are truly unforgettable.
LOCATION: This Queenstown Hill address situated in a peaceful residential neighbourhood offers guests privacy and relaxation. Located just away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, but still conveniently only a six-minute drive to lively central Queenstown with all the fantastic restaurants, shops and activities on offer. Winter guests can expect a 26-minute drive to Coronet Peak base building or 36-minutes to the Remarkables Ski Field, and Queenstown’s International Airport is just a 9-minute drive away.
STYLE: With modern, comfortable furnishings and a bright, airy feel. this home is an absolute gem for a relaxing getaway. Its open-plan layout and floor-to-ceiling windows effortlessly blend indoor comfort with the stunning outdoor scenery.
BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS: Situated on the main level, the master bedroom boasts a king-sized bed, walk-through wardrobe, and a private ensuite with a shower.
Downstairs, there are three additional bedrooms and a bathroom. Two of these bedrooms feature built-in wardrobes and private balconies with outdoor seating and stunning lake views.
Each bedroom is generously sized with electric wall heaters for comfort, and some featuring additional lounge seating. The family bathroom is equipped with a bath/shower and a separate toilet, while an extra guest toilet is conveniently located on the main level. Luxurious bed linens and towels are provided.

The additional futon sofa bed in Bedroom 2 can accommodate a ninth guest if required; this is best suited to children. (Charges apply, please advise at time of booking).
LIVING AREA: Extra high ceilings add to the spaciousness of this house. Cosy up on the oversized couch in front of the 65-inch Smart TV or enjoy the multiple games, puzzles and books on offer. There is a log burner and heat pump / air conditioning unit in this space ensuring your comfort whatever the season. Want a different view? There is an additional seating spot between the dining and kitchen where you can relax with a book or just enjoy the view.
KITCHEN & DINING: Fully equipped modern kitchen with coffee machine, gas cooktop, dishwasher, and breakfast bar style seating. Enjoy the fantastic views from both the kitchen and dining area, or if alfresco is more your style, take advantage of the stunning scenery. The lake facing balcony runs the length of this home and is a fantastic outdoor entertaining space; there’s a hooded BBQ and outdoor seating for eight.
THE GREAT OUTDOORS: Take a short stroll to the bottom of the hill, where you`ll find yourself at the picturesque shoreline of Lake Wakatipu and the popular Frankton walking track, perfect for a leisurely lakeside walk in either direction. And for the adventure seekers, Queenstown has a plethora of activities all only a short drive away.
OTHER PRACTICALITIES: Practicalities include full laundry facilities with complimentary washing powder. There is off-street parking in the driveway and a single garage with internal access, offering ample storage space for ski gear, bikes, or your golf clubs.
RATES, INCLUSIONS & MINIMUM STAYS: Rates are inclusive of 15% GST, premium linen and for a maximum of 8 guests. A ninth guest can be accommodated on the sofa bed with prior arrangement and is charged at NZ$50 per night. A departure clean fee of NZ$400 applies. Bookings of 8 nights or more receive a complimentary mid-stay service with fresh towels. (Bed linen change not included; upgrade to a full linen change is available for indicative $200 - $250 including GST). Minimum 3 night stay year-round, and 4-7 nights during peak periods.
PLEASE NOTE: Credit card fees are non-refundable. This is important to be aware of if you choose to pay your balance ahead of the due date.

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS: - Guest(s) making a booking must be over 25 years of age. Any guests under 25 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of their stay.
- Remarkable Lookout is a residential dwelling and no parties or events are to be held.
- Please be mindful that the property is located in a residential area and be courteous to your neighbours. As per Resource Consent with council, quiet hours are to be observed between 10pm and 7am.
- We are required to take a security bond pre-authorisation hold in addition to the total booking price. (n/a to Airbnb bookings).
- A standard exit clean is included with your booking; however, you are expected to leave the property in a satisfactory state (clear and tidy). Charges may apply for loss of keys, excessive rubbish, sorting contaminated rubbish/recycling, excessive cleaning or damage to the property for example.
- Charges may also apply for travel costs and management/staff time if for example, having to make a dump run, coordination of tradesman/repairs, additional property visits, shop for replacements, and so forth.

It’s a spacious and lovely place to stay. The kitchen is well stocked, and our family had a great time at the house. The owner had given us a jar of butter cookies to welcome us. That was very sweet. We had lovely mornings enjoying the sunrise, along with our tea/coffee, and the cookies.I had a problem starting the hob on the first night when we’d like to make dinner. I found out there is a gas tank that had to be turned on in order to use the hob. The gas tank was located outside of the house. This was new to me. I tried using the AI help on the website at first, but the answer was not quite clear, then I reached out via WA and they quickly responded to my question. My feedback is to add that instruction about turning on the gas on the guest book and to fix the AI answer for the question.
