Charming Lakefront Family Home On Coveted, Quiet Green Lake

The perfect location for your family vacation, couple's getaway, group retreat or reunion. Our house is the best location on an extraordinary lake, with southern exposure, a large deck and plenty of dock space, plus a swim float. Green Lake is a small, pond-size lake, so boat traffic is low, waves are small, and kids are safe. Canada Lake, accessed by boat, offers more adventures. Hike from the house to Kane Mountain fire tower for breathtaking views, or let the kids explore nearby ponds with salamanders, tadpoles and beaver dams. You can have a fulfilling week without leaving the lake – but there’s lots to explore in this unique southern Adirondack location. Saratoga, Cooperstown, the Adirondack Museum and Lake George Great Escape are popular day trips.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location at the end of the lake was excellent and the house was very cozy but with plenty of room. We enjoyed canoeing around the lake and the easy access to hiking. Given it was still early in the season it could be a bit chilly in the morning, but we still enjoyed sitting out on the deck and watching the hummingbirds and the loons. We really appreciated having a washer and dryer as our stay was part of a longer journey.

We've stayed here four times now and plan to return. From the sparkling lake to kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking, and listening to the loons and owls at night, and watching shooting stars... this place is a slice of heaven.

Favorite Adirondack getaway

This was our third time staying in this wonderful location. We had a fantastic time paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, hiking, swimming, reading, watching the loon family, and sitting by the fire at night star-gazing.

Favorite place to stay in the Adirondacks

This was our second time staying here. We love the property and the atmosphere. Swimming in crystal clear water, hiking up mountains, star gazing by the fire at night, listening to the loons and owls calling - nothing is better!

Lakeside perfect

Simply gorgeous location and the house is well maintained and furnished. Decorated with so much care and has happy vibes. We had a wonderful time and so much fun! Would highly recommend this place and would love to go back again sometime!

Best Ever ADK family vacation

The entire family had a great time at Martha’s house on Green Lake. Parents, Teenagers, and Grandparents all had fun. Swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Table on the fully enclosed porch was super for family meals. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. We made Birthday cupcakes, shrimp tacos and many more meals. We hope to come back again. 5 stars from our family.

Great getaway

We had a lovely fall weekend getaway. The property was beautiful and quiet. It was a relaxing, stress-free family experience. The house was the perfect size for what we needed. Zero complaints, would love to come back again, maybe in the summer time next.

Wonderful autumn weekend gathering place!

We had the opportunity to enjoy the Boyd Camp with our three adult sons, two daughters-in-law , and our granddaughter for a long Columbus Day weekend. Great outdoor ambiance and plenty of indoor space during the rain. Would love to return.

Family time on the lake

This was our second visit to this home. It is spacious and clean with lots of lake toys for outdoor fun. Inside, the family enjoyed cooking and sharing meals, exploring the many books, and playing board games. A great place for spending quality time with the family.

Great place, great time!

I have gone to Canada Lake/Green Lake my whole life. We needed to rent a place for our whole family and this home was perfect. A beautiful home and everything was exactly what we expected. As a result, we had a GREAT week at the lake. Would love to stay there again. Thank you!!!

Beautiful ADK stay

We had such a wonderful time at Martha’s place. She is so friendly and easy to communicate with. The house is very clean and well stocked. Plenty of space to spread out on the rainy days. Our families had an incredible time and hope to return. Thank you for sharing this beautiful house with us!!

Wonderful stay on Green Lake

Our family had a wonderful time at this lake house! We were able to swim right off the dock, which has stairs which made an easy entry into the water. We also canoed, hiked and enjoyed water views from the deck. This was important since one person in our group has accessibility issues. It was a great house for our multi-generational family vacation. There were lots of boats for us to use as well as a well stocked kitchen. There are lots of great hiking trails nearby as well. The owner was available and easy to contact. I would highly recommend this rental.

Peaceful, relaxing place to get away from it all

My family of four had the pleasure of staying here last week. It is a beautiful, serene spot. We hiked different trails every day. Fished right off the dock. Kayaked and canoed while observing the local loon family...star gazed and made s'mores by the fire...woke up to the beautiful view outside the bedroom window. The house has everything you need. The little store just down the road has anything you may have forgotten. I wish we were still there!

My siblings and I grew up with summers on Green Lake, and we have a deep love for this special place and its people. I now live in New Hampshire -- also beautiful country, but I miss being able to spend as much time at our home on Green Lake home as we would like. Now my children, with Michael as primary contact, are pitching in to help manage and maintain our home so we can continue to share its charm. We are thrilled to be able to share this spot and vicariously enjoy the summer on the lake with our guests.

My parents discovered Green Lake in the early 70's and both rented and owned other houses on the lake. They purchased this home in 1990, because it's truly the best spot on what we think to be the best lake in the foothills of the Adirondacks! The house sits right on the lake, with the road a safe distance behind it; there is a nice stretch of waterfront, with a gradually sloping, sandy bottom; we have wonderful neighbors on both sides; there are hiking and biking trails right out the back door; and from our protected, small lake, we can access larger Canada, West and Lily Lakes. It's a truly special spot!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

So many! The house is really set in nature, with a master bedroom that looks out over the lake and a fabulous deck that fills with afternoon sun. Loons are quite common, and in this calm lake you often see them just yards from the shore. Two example firsts from 2017: the biggest fish we've caught in green lake -- my son caught an 18' bass, and we saw a merganser duck with 7 babies on her back! Two days later the ducklings were following her solo. There's always something new!
