Beautiful property with a lovely water view. Host was excellent with communication. This is a convenient location for visiting both Halifax and the south coast. It’s a great spot if you’re looking to combine some sight seeing along with relaxation!

The stay was wonderful! The host communicated well throughout the whole stay. House clean, welcoming and in a beautiful location. I also appreciated the local recommendations of restaurants and things to do. Highly recommend!

Amazing place! Our family loved, loved the view as well as access to the water including kayak use. Cottage was clean, and kitchen was well stocked. A perfect vacation stay!

The cottage, grounds and waterfront are lovely, so beautifully decorated and thoughtfully appointed for convenience and comfort. We found everything as described, and more. Greg was very responsive and helpful with answers to our questions. It was a great location for a day trip to Halifax and another to the Lunenburg Harbor Folk Festival where we heard some amazing Canadian fiddling. We enjoyed kayaking and bird watching from the deck on our quiet days. This was our best VRBO experience ever and we would definitely go back again.

Great bay front home close to Peggy’s cove and Halifax . Good spot to plan day trips from and yet enjoy surroundings when not on the go . House was bright , clean, cheerful and beautifully appointed in nautical motif . Fabulous deck and dock for enjoying morning coffee or evening cocktails . Perfect size and amenities for two couples . Host was very helpful with local suggestions for food and activities . Use of bay for swimmingOr kayaking a plus . Highly recommended this home. We were there for a week . Coulda stayed longer . Hated to leave .

A Real Gem

This place is lovely. The open concept and big windows with a view of the water are wonderful! The proximity to Halifax and surrounding POI is perfect! Our gracious host Greg was wonderful to deal with!

We loved staying in prospect bay. The house was beautiful, updated, and well-equipped. The deck and dock were so lovely to drink coffee on. The house was clean and the perfect distance to so many popular destinations. Greg’s communication and recommendations were wonderful. We would love to stay again if we find ourselves in Prospect Bay!

The cottage was an absolute gem.We walked into a very beautiful, clean and lovey home. The location was perfect. we watched the sun rise over the spectacular view across the water every morning. We felt at home, Greg our host was available if we needed help, he ensured we had all that we needed to enjoy our stay. We had an absolutely fantastic time staying at the cottage.

We had a glorious 6 nights. The house is well stocked w/kitchen needs, the bedrooms are very comfortable and the bigger room has wonderful morning light, the exterior has a peaceful view of the bay, comfortable sitting. This is a house that feels so welcoming that it's difficult to leave-the host was just that.... very attentive and available and a friend at arm's length.... do not hesitate,this is grand

Book this place!

The pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s a beautiful cottage with amazing views. You have plenty of privacy but are still close to amenities. The cottage itself has everything you could need and Greg was easily reachable for quick questions. We only spend a few days here but would love to come back and just relax for a week or two. You’re able to fish off the dock, there are kayaks available to use as well (too adventurous for me). All of the furnishings were super comfortable and we enjoyed everything. I took a chance on this place with only 1 review and have zero regrets.

Beautiful place

Our stay on Prospect Bay was amazing. Property was just right for us (couple w 2 kids). Amazing kitchen setup, stunning masterbdrm, dock was lovely and a gorgeous view. We were able to go kayaking and saw a seal. Neighbours are nice and queer positive. Great to come back to after a day of exploring the south shore. The most amazing hike only 5 min away. Greg was super responsive to any questions or concerns. The only challenge is the lack of close charging stations for our EV but luckily Halifax is close. We would definitely return.

Host was easy to communicate with.Property was as pictured- even more beautiful It was cold when we were there, so we could not enjoy the outdoors.Buy your groceries and beverages before you arrive. No stores around.Would definitely recommend this property!

Just an amazing place. Astonishing location, right on the water's edge. The sunshine is fully accessible all around the property, providing numerous places to read and drink the odd glass or two. Excellent kitchen, utensils, wine glasses, spices, table mats, etc. Nothing is left to chance. WiFi is brilliant, and the kettle for morning tea is rapid!Beds are mega comfy. Showers are warm and simple to use.We used Ubers to get in and out of Halifax. No difficulty in finding and booking these.A week doesn't do it justice. There was so much more we could have done, but with a view like that, why would you! Simply first class
