Welcome to Sunset Bank Cottage! A brand-new ocean escape on the shores of breathtaking St. Margaret’s Bay, Nova Scotia. Just steps from the ocean, Sunset Bank enjoys unparalleled views of the bay, where you can watch the sun set each night. Relax on the front deck and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. We will let you know what time the sun sets each night so you wont miss it! Brand new and fully equipped our 2-bedroom, open concept cottage offers all the comforts of home, ready and waiting for you to unwind.

Just 7 minutes away from world-renowned Peggy's Cove, located in the tranquil community of Hackett's Cove in St. Margaret’s Bay. Here you will find numerous restaurants, where seafood is always on the menu. Cafés and bakeries abound, for those looking for coffee and a quick bite. Nature lovers may enjoy a sea kayaking tour, or one of the many hiking and biking trails near by. Take a boat tour and see the famous Peggy’s Cove lighthouse from a different perspective, or head to Pearl Island and see the puffins!

Our cottage is the ideal home base for numerous day trips. Head down the South Shore to picturesque Mahone Bay, the town of three churches. Continue on to colourful Old Town Lunenburg a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, a beautiful 90 minute drive along the ocean. Or spend the day in the beautiful Annapolis Valley, home to most of the province’s wineries. A great place to see the highest tides in the world at the Bay of Fundy, only a 90 minute drive. Halifax is just 40 minutes away, spend the day in the bustling city, and come back to relax at Sunset Bank Cottage.

Can't think of a nicer place to stay in Nova Scotia. Our host was more than kind and welcoming and our only regret was not staying longer. The house was very tastefully decorated and spotless. Felt like home away from home. Perfection!

The cottage (house) is beautiful and the surroundings gorgeous. Spacious and very clean. Host was very responsive and very very pleasant. If you want to relax and enjoy the view you can and/or use as a home base to explore spots like Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Halifax. It was perfect.

This cute oasis was stunning and had all the amenities you could need. Host is very thoughtful with all the little details and adding in a few extras. Made us and our pup feel right at home. Can’t wait to stay again!

This cottage was one of the most thoughtfully appointed properties I have had the privilege of staying. Beth thought of many comforts to ensure our stay was seamless. She left multiple personal touches that showed her attention to our stay which made us feel special. The beds are very comfortable and the linens are excellent. All of this is outshone by the fantastic location both in proximity but also the ocean views. We look forward to returning!

This was a clean and fully equipped cottage. The view was outstanding and the amenities were all there. The personal touches by the host were so appreciated and went beyond anything we could have expected (there were toothbrushes, in case you forgot!). All communication was clear and timely. We stayed at the cottage for a week in August travelling from Toronto. I can’t express enough how wonderful our experience was! Our host, Beth, was easy to communicate with. She took care of every little detail to make our stay enjoyable. The cottage is very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The Check-in and Check-out processes were very easy. We loved how quiet the area was, all we could hear were sounds of the ocean and the birds chirping. The cottage has access to a rocky shore. We were able to swim in the ocean, which was very calm and clean. For someone who would have difficulty walking over the rocks, there is a bench to sit and watch the ocean waves. Our most memorable experiences were watching the sunsets from our deck and from the shore. We visited nearby Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, and enjoyed kayaking in Blue Rocks. We are really grateful to Beth for the hospitality and hope to come back to this property on our next trip to Nova Scotia.

Far exceeded our expectations!!! The cottage was beautifully decorated and well equipped for our stay. A perfect home-base location for taking day trips throughout N.S. Rooms are spacious and beds are luxurious! Beth was lovely to deal with and all the little touches throughout the cottage were well appreciated :) We highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.
