Overview

About the property

Wonderful Fresh Water Waterfront with lots of activities

Wonderful Padabone Log home on Lake Shoecraft (next to Lake Goodwin) near Smokey point in Stanwood, WA. 3 bedrooms, 1 bath with full kitchen, wood burning stove, deck, dock, 100+ no bank beach. The home features lots of parking, beautiful views, great swimming, waterskiing, watersports, and fishing. The lake is stocked every year with trout and features excellent fishing. Inculded in the rental is a 11 foot Columbia fiberglass boat (similar to a Boston Whaler), electric motor and battery, two kayaks, and lots of water toys and inflatables as well as krocket and other lawn toys. I have a couple fishing poles and some gear also but if you are a serious fly fisher you will want to bring your own. Two of the bedrooms have queen or king beds and the third has two sets of bunk beds. Country store is just down the road for anything you didn't bring (and has the best fishing gear) as well as an excellent restaurant, the Paddle Pub. Also short distance to Snohqualmie Casino and the Super mall. Easy access from I-5. Update 4/20/18 the lake was recently stocked with over 7,000 trout (the larger lake next door was stocked with 5,000)

About Mark Breslich

My family has enjoyed this area for many years. I strive to have satisfied customers and happy people. My wife and I are life long Pacific Northwest residents.

Mark Breslich purchased this house in 2007

Why Mark Breslich chose Lake Goodwin

This property features many things to do without leaving, but if you need too everything you could possibly want is close at hand. The house was built in 1955, it is a Padabone log home (similar to Lindal Cedar Homes), it has lots of original charm and Mid Century feel. It is close enough to Seattle but far enough away to be removed from the stress and noise. The lake warms up fast in the summer and the swimming is fantastic. The lake is stocked with trout each year so the fishing is great.

What makes this house unique

An 11 foot boat, electric motor, 6 person spa,, 2 kayaks, 1 SUP, and inflatable water toys are all standard. No bank waterfront makes it ideal for kids and pets of all ages. The water is warm enough to swim early in the season due to the relatively shallow depth. Much more quiet and private than it's sister Lake Goodwin. Large deck with a new hot tub and large dock to fish from. The lake is stocked with trout every year.

Great lake front cabin.

We really enjoyed our stay and the cabin was everything described on the site. Beautiful location, nicely equipped with boat, kayak, gear, etc. Nice location and a very comfortable log home. Family, kid, dog, fishing friendly - We plan to rent again!

It was a beautiful place!

  • 4 of 5

My friends and i really enjoyed our weekend here. When i arrived on Friday at check in the heat was off in the house and in the hot tub. By evening the house was warmer. The hot tub was warm by Saturday and finally hot the morning we checked out, so we did use it but would have appreciated the owner turning these things on prior to our arrival. Otherwise it was a lovely place.

Owner's Response: I'm sorry about the hot tub, it was inadvertently turned to off by a previous guest. I have corrected the issue. Mark

Wonderful, comfortable family home away from home

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful, relaxing time with our children and grandchildren. Everything was clean, well-kept and well-stocked. Nice deck with a beautiful view of the lake and a great hot tub. Nice touches such as soft pillows, washer and dryer, magazines, family games. Great place.

Cozy and Relaxing

Our stay was awesome! The place has a great view and easy access to the lake. The house was fully stocked with kitchen supplies, towels, and everything else we could have needed. Mark was very responsive to answering all of my questions to which I am very grateful.

The cabin was very cozy, and well equipped. The owner had good communication and was easy to work with. Tons of activities for adults and kids. We wished we had scheduled more time! Kids loved all the games, everyone enjoyed the new hot tub, and kitchen is well equipped for cooking.

Cozy lake cabin

  • 5 of 5

There was plenty of room for our two families. We all loved how cozy the cabin was. The sunrises over the lake were wonderful especially when viewed with a cup of coffee and a dip in the hot tub. We’d love to try and stay again when it’s warmer. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and pots/pans.
