This year has been exceptionally crazy with weed growth in our lakes. We also currently as of August 2025 have fire ban on so no outdoor fires. This is a very strict ban by the township. Keeping our community safe.

The host was great. She met us at check-in and gave a tour and answered questions. We appreciated that. Good and quick communication throughout our stay. Comfortable, peaceful cottage. Shoreline was weedy due to the heatwaves but the kayaks brought us out to the gorgeous lake and we loved it there. The kids had a blast. Our dog was in paradise. We also visited the nearby Burleigh Falls and it was beautiful. We made lots of great memories!

The home itself it’s beautiful! The host was helpful and responsive. Everything you need is within a 5-10 minute drive. We were disappointed that the state of the lake was not communicated. We had informed the host that we had young kids and were interested in the swimming. While it was suggested to take the kayaks out to find good swimming spots, we didn’t know that we would be required to take kayaks out any time we wanted to swim. The lake is full of weeds and engulfed with lilly pads. The home and property are beautiful, new, clean and equipped with anything you would need. We ended up taking daily trips to the close by beach. Just wasn’t what we had envisioned for our family vacation. We didn’t want to pack up and leave every day. Beautiful property, but probably more of a fall or winter destination!

Déborah est une hôte très à l’écoute et disponible pour vous aider si besoin. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour! Chalet très moderne et bien décoré. Lieu extrêmement paisible, vue magnifique sur le lac, les écureuils et les oiseaux. Nous avons fait du kayak tous les jours dans un environnement très agréable et profité du calme du ponton pour lire. Merci de partager votre paradis avec nous!

Lovely waterfront stay!

We had a great time at Raven Rock Retreat. The house was very clean and perfectly located. The views from the home were also gorgeous and we loved being able to sit by the water and go for a kayak on the lake. It was so quiet and peaceful on the property and the neighbours were super friendly.

If I could leave a Million stars I would!!!!!!!

Wow were we ever blown away when we walked into this place!Our awesome host DJ was there to give us a tour and it is beautiful on the inside and out!Super high celings, and so stylishly decorated. Everything you could need has been carefully thought out and is there for use. Even the cutlery made us say oh my god! lolDefinitely more like a dream home on the water compared to a cottage. Everything worked perfectly and the beds were so comfy. The back deck was our favorite spot with the gas fireplace and the view!Close 2nd was the small deck where we had our coffee at the water each morning. Catching fish was super easy! We caught sunfish whenever we wanted and at least a big bass a day. We cant wait to book again for next summer. Best vacation rental we have ever had by far.

We had a fantastic, week-long stay. Home is lovely, and in a nice location close to shops for grocery and wine, provincial parks and trails. Quick drive to Bobcaygeon and Lakefield for a change of pace, restaurants and more shops. Relaxing, serene and peaceful escape from the city. Deborah was an excellent host who made us feel welcome and comfortable. Will definitely consider a return visit in the future.....

A true hidden gem. Perfect location! Incredible property, attention to detail. Wonderful host, made our stay smooth and stress-free. Spacious, comfortable and cozy. Beautifully decorated, a wonderful mix of wonderful mix of modern contemporary and cottage feel. Phenomenal art work, stunning functional kitchen. Beds were like sleeping on a cloud. Top quality linens and melt like butter blankets and throws.We were thoroughly impressed with every aspect of the property. We can't thank the host , Deborah, enough. A much needed family time.

Very rare to find such and amazing property with such an amazing host to boot. The property is beautiful inside and out. The pictures are great but the place is even bigger/better once you step foot inside. It had everything you could need or ask of a cottage style vacation hime. The host, Deborah, was extremely helpful and kind. She was just a quick text away with any questions, golf/dining recommendations and even helped secure a last minute kayak rental on a long weekend. I had already planned my next stay at this property before even finishing my first. If you’re reading this and are on the fence about booking, take my advice and do it. 10/10 you will not be disappointed.

Our stay at this rental house was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by its charm and unique character. Deborah is a great host. She couldn’t do enough to make our stay wonderful. Very quiet, peaceful area for a rejuvenating getaway. Kayaks to use with all the required equipment. Great fire pit for making s’mores and just relaxing under a starry night. Thank You DJ
