Once there, you'll relish the seclusion—no other sites are nearby, ensuring you experience the tranquil side of Muskoka. If you love the outdoors and camping, this is the perfect place for you. Enjoy your day outside exploring and an evening by the fire - then fall asleep in the comfort of the heated tent and a plush Queen bed with all the pleasures you could dream of.
To enhance your stay, we provide binoculars for wildlife viewing, but don’t forget to bring your camera! Please note that this is an off-grid property without running water or electricity. We supply ample water for drinking, cooking, and washing, and offer an outdoor shower and a sheltered thunderbox (toilet) for your convenience. We also supply you with high quality firewood to enjoy a cozy and remarkable evening under the spectacular stars in the firepit.
We supply you with dishes, acrylic drinkware, cutlery, pots for cooking, single propane burner, linens, duvet, pillows, blankets, quilt, warm throws, headlamps, lantern and just about everything you will need to enjoy the experience. Just bring appropriate clothing, footwear, food and beverage.
Enjoy our 6 acre private island for hiking and exploring accessible by our foot bridge that crosses over the beginning of the Shadow River. You will see the majestic and incredible old growth forest 150 year old plus White Pine Trees.
We are located 35 minutes from Parry Sound, 40 minutes from Huntsville, 1 1/2 hours from Barrie and Algonquin Park.
Other things to note Thank you so much for your interest! It is very important to us that we maintain our 5 star rating by ensuring that we are a perfect fit for you! We want to reiterate that you will be walking through the forest for 7 minutes to this remote and extraordinary site. Please wear appropriate footwear for the forest. We also want to ensure you understand there is no power/hydro/plugs or anyway for you to charge anything. There is also no running water. We supply you with both drinking water so there is no need to bring any in and also washing water - for yourselves and your dishes. You will want to be outside alot so please bring appropriate clothing for the Muskoka weather. You will be "Glamping" meaning previous camping experience will be an asset but not a requirement - you will want to know how to light a fire outside (we supply kindling and high quality hardwood). The difference from camping is you will enjoy climbing into a queen size bed with fine linens, plush pillows, warm duvets and hand made quilts to end your day in nature. Relax by the cozy indoor stove and play a game of cards or read that book that you have been putting off. This site is perfect to unplug and enjoy the quiet of nature and view stars and the night sky like you have never seen before.
