Om overnatningsstedet

Star Cottage, Whitstable

tar Cottage is a fabulous holiday home that has been lovingly restored by the owner and is full of charm with many beautiful interior design features. The soft colour palette of the interior creates a warm and welcoming environment to this pretty cottage and we are sure fabulous holiday memories will be created here. There is a cosy sitting room, and a large sociable open plan kitchen/dining room with doors leading out onto the garden, a downstairs shower room and upstairs are the two bedrooms, one with ensuite bathroom. Your four-legged friend is also welcome to join you. Whitstable is very dog-friendly with large stretches of the beach accessible all year round, and many cafes and pubs welcome dogs. Whitstable is a vibrant and buzzing seaside town, full of history and charm with a working harbour and fish market. It has a thriving art scene with lots of galleries showing the work of local artists, a great live music scene in the local pubs and some great cafes and restaurants serving contemporary dishes including of course oysters which made Whitstable famous.

A beautiful cottage a stone's throw from town

What a beautifully presented and well thought out cottage. We and our dogs had such a lovely stay. The beds were so comfy and everything was immaculate. On arrival we were left with a delicious lemon cake and our dogs appreciated their treats too, thank you! We highly recommend this beautiful cottage❤️

lovely comfortable cottage

We had a wonderful holiday in this lovely and comfortable cottage in Whitstable. Very good bed and kitchen. It was nice we could bring our little dog with us. There are a lot of beautiful places around, from Canterbury, over the downs, to walks along the seashore.

Excellent stay

Star Cottage is just that-a star. The decor is bright, colourful and well-kept. The beds are extremely comfortable and the bathrooms modern, with plenty of hot water. Comfy chairs and sofas and a sweet garden with a good choice of chairs and cushions completes this delightful place. We didn’t really cook but the kitchen seemed well-equipped. The location is great for central Whitstable, 10 mins walk from the station and very near bus routes making journeys to London, Canterbury and Margate very easy. We would book again

Beautiful holiday home.

What a stunning holiday home Star Cottage is. Beautiful decor, great location for walking into Whitstable which we absolutely loved. The attention to detail of Star Cottage was superb. Everything had been thought of. Gorgeous soft furnishings, the spacious rooms worked perfectly for 2 couples and 2 small dogs. Highly recommend a stay here, you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic

Very responsive customer service and fantastic to deal with, shout out to Michaela…big thanks. The cottage itself was super clean and comfortable, a real home from home. The location could not be better. A few minutes walk from the High Street but tucked away enough to be quiet. Cafe, takeaway, pub and co-op virtually on your doorstep. Whitstable is a real gem. We will be back!

Excellent location for the town and beach. Very comfy beds and beautifully decorated. Nice garden with patio seating with cushions. Parking is free if you can find a space, we were lucky and got one nearby. Excellent bus service to Canterbury and train service to Ramsgate.

Fabulous cottage

We had a wonderful stay at Star Cottage. The house is comfortable and well equipped and beautifully done, feels like a real home from home. There is easy parking either outside the cottage or close by and it is a short walk into the centre of Whitstable. Keepers cottages have been really helpful with any queries. Wonderful cottage, excellent location

Star Cottage is a delight. Very comfortable and stylish. Thoughtfully designed. The two living areas were an unexpected bonus. We managed to park on the road, with no difficulty. Nice and warm.

Very clean and cosy cottage

three adults stayed at the cottage to attend a memorial service. the cottage made the sad occassion bearable. Spotlessly clean. The only drawback was that the seating in the lounge was not that comfortable.

Comfortable & stylish cottage

Lovely spacious cottage with stylish decor and attention to detail. Beds super comfortable! Great to have two bathrooms. Very clean and a welcome gift was a nice surprise. A ten min stroll to harbour. Easy access to high street with a plethora of independent shops. Highly recommended.

exceeded expectation

Star Cottage was lovely in every way. It was spotlessly clean and the owners had thought of everything. The bathrooms were luxurious and the mattress was the best I'd ever slept on. There is a delightful little courtyard garden which was great for the dog's sunbathing. Keepers Cottages answered questions very quickly. If I stay in the Whitstable area of Kent again, my first choice would be staying at Star Cottage via Keepers Cottages.

A Week in Whitstable

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in star cottage which was beautifully presented. A high standard of bedding and towels provided. Extremely comfortable beds. Dog walking was very convenient at Duncan Downs just a 10 minute walk from the cottage. Overall we had a great week with just some minor issues: We felt the kitchen could have been better equipped ie. A small sharp knife, vegetable peeler, foil, oven gloves( a single glove isn’t everyone’s preference) we’re lacking On occasions it was very difficult to park, access to the small residents car park would be a great advantage.( particularly for those with disabled badges.)

A beautiful interior

The interior of the cottage was beautiful with attention to detail everywhere . The decor was uplifting and contributed to the enjoyment of the stay. We were celebrating a birthday and had breakfast in the sunshine in the well equipped yard. An excellent stay for a girlie weekend with short walk to the restaurants and beach. The weekend was tricky to park near the cottage so we paid for a local car park and kept renewing as we did not use the car all weekend. Our dogs Karenza and Fleur loved the cottage and it was a perfect place for them to stay too !!!

First timers on the Kent coast

The property is beautifully presented and the outside space a sun trap. There is everything you could need for a self catering stay however, one suggestion would be to arrange a space for cupboard groceries to be stored. Plenty of room in fridge and freezer but the cupboards are so well stocked with crockery, pots, pans etc that there is no space for dry goods. It is also very dog friendly, blankets left out to cover the furniture and treats left. Comfy beds and pillows. Easy walk to the high street and sea front. The only negative is that due to its situation the parking is very limited and if you go out for the day trying to find another space on return can be a little frustrating.

It is a very cute pretty little cottage with good amenities. Parking was a bit hit and miss as double yellow lines everywhere. However it didn’t ruin the stay and we had a lovely couple of days. Would recommend
