Fishing Trip

Enough parking for 3 bass boats, full kitchen to good with and great beds for sleeping. Excellent place to stay for anglers fishing St. Clair.

Business Trip

Very cozy home with comfortable beds. Bathroom/shower a bit cramped for a bigger person like myself, but we made due. Would rent again

Perfect duplex for a family stay

We were in town for a funeral. This house was perfect for us. Easy access to freeways, restaurants, and stores. The house is on a quiet street.

In town for Bowling Tournament

This was a great place! It was perfect for what we needed. We had 4 kids bowling in the tournament so we had people from 4 families. The duplex set up with each area having its own kitchen/living room area was ideal. I had to reach out to the host concerning a missing TV remote and she got by to me immediately! The area was quiet, safe and reminded me of Mayberry!

Great place for a group of friends

A group of four friends stayed here for a long weekend and it was perfect. Plenty of room to spread out, lots of natural light and easy to find. The kitchens have the basics and bathrooms include amenities. The host is very responsive.

Beautiful home/beautiful neighborhood

We made wonderful memories on this trip. The home was beautiful. The amenities were amazing. The neighbors were welcoming. The area held one hidden gem after another. The location was perfect to take in sights. We would definitely return.

Comfortable place to enjoy family

I hosted a 60th birthday dinner for my husband at a nearby rec hall. This home was the perfect place for me to cook and prepare all the food for my husband's dinner. It was a great spot to sit with family and fellowship. The only issue I had was that the downstairs bathroom shower handle is not on correctly. You have to turn it towards the blue and its really slippery.There were a few spiderwebs and the steps leading to upstairs are really steep. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and I would stay there again. The host was great and replied quickly. anyone with mobility issues

Great Family Space!

The Annual Jones Family vacation week started out with a last minute cancellation through a different website. Their host canceled on us as we were knocking on the door of the home we booked weeks before our planned trip… after driving 13 hours from Alabama! We were fortunate enough to find this location on VRBO that was actually better than the place we had originally booked. There was plenty of space for our family of 7 to rest and relax without feeling cramped. The place was beautifully designed and super clean! Would definitely recommend the place! We hope it is available next year when we return. Absolutely loved this place!!!

Girl friends annual get away

Clean nice property and easy access to sight-seeing in the area. Quick response from manager to questions. Would have been nice to know the heater is not turned on until later in year since a couple rainy days were chilly. Overall nice place to relax and enjoy the area.

Beautiful Units

Stayed in both units with family for a wedding in downtown Mt Clemens. Place is in a quiet neighborhood and is newly renovated. Perfect for the 8 of us. Plenty of room to spread out, and beds were very comfortable. A/C units in all bedrooms and living rooms worked great. Host was great communicator and answered all messages super fast. A real value for large groups and way better than a hotel.

Nice neighborhood & clean home

We enjoyed staying here. The property is very clean and easy to find. The only things I wish we had known is that there are only showers and the showers are VERY small! If we had smaller children still (that only took baths) then this would've been an issue. I think this needs to be listed that these are showers only. Also, if staying in the upstairs unit, the steps are very steep and hard to tote heavy luggage up/down. Other than these two things, the house is nice and has been well taken care of. The host was very nice and pretty quick at responses.

Overall good, but needs improvement.

The host was fantastic. Location was good for us. The distance from DET was listed, but nobody uses DET. It's close to an hour from DTW. PLENTY of room except the tiny bathrooms. The remodel was very poorly done. Not enough outlets in the bedroom. Bed in lower level was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. Property is in a lovely neighborhood. The a/c window units are adequate, albeit loud. Price was very reasonable.

Nice Weekend Getaway

We had 7 adults and had a great stay. It was in a nice location - we went for several walks around the neighborhood and it’s close to the metro park and restaurants. The outside of the house is in need of some sanding and new paint, but the inside looks great. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of space for our group. The owner was very responsive to questions and helpful when we reached out. We did not like that the shower heads could not be pointed down and mostly sprayed the wall, but the showers were still usable. The AC units and fans did a descent job cooling the rooms but they were a little loud. And we had some trouble with the bedroom doors getting stuck closed and ended up just not closing them all the way to prevent this. Overall we had a good stay and the space worked for us.

FANTASTIC STAY

The first thing I can say is we arrived very late, 2:30 am, and had trouble getting into the house and the owner was available immediately to get us in quickly (I can't praise her enough for this). We stayed in both of the units and enjoyed every minute of it. Both units were clean, which is always one of my greatest fears. We didn't spend a ton of time at the house, but the time we did spend was comfortable and relaxing. The home is about 10-15 minutes away from everything you could possibly need; Target, Wal-Mart, Kohl's, Bars, Restaurants, etc. There was some construction to the road right in front of the house, but nothing that can be controlled, I sleep like the dead so it didn't affect me at all. Overall, we didn't have any complaints. Thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful! I would recommend: Coffee filters (there were none) and maybe plastic cups.

Weekend in Mt. Clemens

The accommodations were very nice and both units were very clean. A couple of suggestions for a nicer stay…each unit only had a place setting for 4, which meant doing dishes quite frequently. Cable television on the first floor would have also been nice. Lastly, I have yet to rent from VRBO that didn’t have a set fee for the home. For this home, you declare the number of people, but if you have more stay than you declare, it’s an extra $50 person. There is a camera in the house that confirms the traffic going in and out. Our kids were upstairs, and my husband and I stayed downstairs. The camera would turn on anytime anyone would go from one floor to another. As I was going upstairs to say goodnight to the kids (in my pajamas), the camera turned on, so renter be aware of that. I understand cameras outside, but on the inside just seems wrong and made us super uncomfortable.

Good last minute find for comfortable stay

We found this open a week prior to renting. Communication was reasonably quick and appropriate. Multiple questions answered and specific concerns addressed. Remodeled house duplex of two floors (we rented both). Bedrooms comfortable. Bathrooms small but clean and there were ample linens close by. Kitchens good size with new appliances which was great. Connected dining room and family room looked bigger in photos but were comfortable and clean, pleasantly decorated. For us it was important to have a big TV that we could show family photos thrown wirelessly from one of our devices, which worked well. Internet good speed (held a zoom meeting with family) but did not check out cable access channels and so forth. The property does look like it still has work to be done to finish renovation. The windows need updating but lock appropriately. Front entrance needs work. Biggest drawback is lack of AC. We did fine when the temp was up to 80 deg briefly but not sure would be the same with higher temps and prolonged exposure. Fairly quiet neighborhood was a plus and close to a Meijer’s. Overall good experience.
