Spent the weekend here with some close friends. We wanted a quiet cabin close to the local golf courses. Very beautiful cabins.

We loved our stay! Very comfortable, every detail and tons of activities for family fun. Bean bag toss, air hockey, and tetherball were our favorites!

Great property. We flew in from New York. Kids and adults had fun. It was also wonderful to bring our dogs.. perfect place for families of all sizes.

There was lots of room for us and some family. There was a nice beach and plenty of lake toys. I wish the weather would've been a bit warmer and less windy so we could've had a bon fire and been able to sit outside more. Other then that we had a great time!

We had a great time with our family here, and plan on coming back for sure. We loved being able to have our dogs with us, they had a blast in the water. We were surprised that there were so many water toys and outside games! The house was clean and beautiful. And the bear cabin is so cute. Had plenty of kitchen appliances/utensils, etc. & it felt very homey being there. Adam is great with communication, we couldn’t be more pleased with our entire stay.

Overall loved your VRBO! The lake was just ok so we ventured over to North Long Lake with was awesome! Loved that we could bring our Hank our doodle along!! He enjoyed it too!!

Lovely home with an extra cabin. Beautiful lake views. Host was awesome. Quick to respond to questions and gracious understanding of a mishap we had on the property. The two large capacity gas grill and outdoor skillet a plus! Wild birds galore ….

Adam was great to work with, very accommodating and he answered any questions right away. The views are beautiful. This is a smaller lake that doesn't get a lot of boat traffic or watercraft noise which was really peaceful, especially when kayaking or paddle boarding.Only 5 minutes from town and yet it felt like you were far away.The main cabin itself is relatively newly built. Being open and spacious and having a large kitchen/dining room table and a good sized couch, it helped bring everyone together.Thanks for a great stay!

Stayed here with 4 adults 4 kids. Plenty of room. More games and toys than we could get to use. Only slight draw back was lake is very shallow. Not hosts fault. Knew that going in. Rented a pontoon and went out to a couple spots on lake to swim if boat. My suggestion is maybe jet skis if want to just fly around lake. Pontoon works fine but slow going until deep spots. Overall great time.

Wonderful property right on the water! We had our own beach with water toys and the guest cabin was a wonderful addition for my elderly mother and father to relax and have their own space separate from the main cabin.

You can tell there was a lot of thought and care put into what you’d like to do around the property! Our kids loved that there was a toy bin for them and my husband loved being able to kayak in the morning. We’re looking forward to our next time here!

My friend and I have been going to a cabin every summer for the past 10 years. We absolutely had an amazing few days on Red Sand Lake.Love having the kayaks and the paddleboard, along with all of the outdoor games. Beautiful cabin, plenty of space for our families.

This place is amazing, and very close to everything the Brainerd Lakes area has to offer. Whether you’re a book worm and prefer staying in or you want to be active and explore the outdoors, Sunset Loons w/ Bear cabin does not disappoint. There were 6 in our group and the property was plenty spacious. We spent our mornings snowmobiling (Pillsbury State Forest was a short ride away) and then we took in activities in the afternoons. Snow shoeing at the Arboretum was a definite highlight for our group. Thanks, Adam for everything- your awesome communication made our stay extremely easy and enjoyable!

Great for a family vacay!

This house was the perfect place for our family to vacation! It was fully stocked with kitchen supplies, plenty of beds, and plenty to do to beat the rain (unfortunate unpredictable Minnesota Summer weather!) we spent most evening playing darts in the garage. We made the most of our sunny day on the sandy beach! I personally had great communication with the host through out our stay.

Nice house for family and 2nd cabin for Grandparents

Relaxing place for family and grandparents to stay at. Also brought our Brittany dog with this time (kept on leash and nice area for long walks). Only 1.5 miles from main part of Brainerd. Outdoor blackstone grill has a large cooktop that was perfect for all our cooking.

The house and grounds are stocked with everything we needed for a lovely two week stay. We didn’t have a rainy day so we didn’t utilize the garage much but that space would be perfect for a rainy day. I would highly recommend this lake house. The host was also great at communication and very understanding when a family death changed our plans slightly. Highly recommend!

Great stay on the lake

Our family (grandparents, parents, grandkids) all had such a great staybat the Sunset Loons. There was so much room and tons of games for both inside andnoutside. 2 ofnthe grandkids found out they love kayaking! And the littlenones lovednthebpaddleboat. Loved it so much. the little ones

Amazing place to stay with kids. Adam should honestly talk more about the toys, games, books, yard games, etc. We brought stuff for our kids to do and it was TOTALLY unnecessary. They also spent a lot of their time (when it wasn't raining) on the beach playing in the sand and taking a dip in the water despite the cool temps. The water was still warm bc of how shallow it is. My in-laws loved tagging along while still having their own private space to unwind.

Wonderful Family Gathering

This property was perfect for our family - our grown children, grandchildren, daughter-in-law, my husband (who has limited mobility), and myself. Each of us had private space plus lots of space for game-time and puzzle-time. Our oldest grandson even caught a northern when he took the paddle boat out. The host was very responsive and pleasant to work with.

Has Everything

This was a great property to stay at, we really enjoyed ourselves and were able to keep the kids off screens the whole time. This place has a ton of really nice indoor and outdoor games as well as all the various boats! The kids were not bored at all. There were plenty of linens, towels, blankets to make ourselves comfortable, and plenty of kitchen items to make full meals. Beds were very comfortable. The host was very easy to get ahold of as well.

Perfect set up to have grandparents along!

Our week long stay was great! We enjoyed all the great amenities Sunset Loons had to offer. Communications with the owners were very informative and helpful. We had one set of grandparents with us for this visit, so the Bear cabin was a perfect set-up for privacy, and some down time for them. The weather was not so perfect so we didn’t spend much time outside, but the view and seating was lovely! Being picky sleepers, we found the King mattress comfortable, but on the soft side. Upon sunrise, my young adult kids were not thrilled there were no window coverings or wall separating loft from living area. Oops! Would stay again in a heartbeat!
