The mountains are calling at this 2-bedroom, 1-bath vacation rental in Hartland, aka the heart of Sequoia National Forest. Get lost among the giant sequoia trees in King's Canyon National Park and Sequoia National Park. Both National Parks offer opportunities for your family to hike and fish. When you're not out exploring, warm up by the wood-burning fire or relax on the furnished deck, complemented by the soothing soundtrack of the on-site creek. Adventures of a lifetime await!

We loved our stay at this cabin near Kings Canyon! Communication with Meredith was excellent, and the check-in process was smooth and easy.The area is very remote and peaceful, with a beautiful little creek nearby. We spent much of our time at the cabin relaxing out on the deck and enjoying the surroundings. We truly appreciated the extra thought that Meredith and Jake put into making our stay comfortable. The bag of ice, bug spray, repellent candles, drinking water, and other thoughtful extras were such a nice touch!The cabin was spacious and comfortably accommodated all five of us. We enjoyed BBQing on the deck and spending time around the two fire pits. The AC was definitely a plus! Since I tend to run hot, I especially appreciated it on the warmer days, along with the bedroom side table fans.The cabin is about an hour's drive from Kings Canyon National Park. One tip: download your driving directions ahead of time, as Wi-Fi and cell service can be limited in the area. Also, we discovered that the storage room had extra drinking water, toilet paper, paper towels, and a microwave, which was very convenient.I would definitely recommend this cabin for couples, young adults, or small adult families looking for a peaceful getaway. We would absolutely love to come back and stay here again!

Great stay!

The property was beautiful, the place was extremely cozy, and the hosts had everything we could possibly need at during our stay. Would highly recommended staying here and heading to kings canyon!

Creekside Cabin was wonderful and well appointed. The entire family loved it. It could not have been decorated any sweeter.Our biggest request for future guests would be for specific directions to be provided ahead of time to the guests. For example, "Directions from the South" "Directions from the North" and "Directions from Kings Canyon." Even knowing our ultimate destination and the landmark to aim for, the GPS tried to take us down an 8 1/2 mile gravel road and then it sent us on a route that added more than half an hour to the trip as we headed from Kings Canyon NP to Creekside Cabin. That being said, once we arrived at the cabin, the directions provided in the Welcome Book were exactly what we needed. Additional information contained in the Welcome Book helped us immensely! The owners reached out ahead of our visit and they were very helpful.We will highly recommend Creekside Cabin.

Great cabin next to a tranquil stream

Our host was amazing in communicating with us about the property and things to do in the area. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for a small family trip to visit Kings Canyon and Sequoia parks. We would definitely stay again.

tranquility

our experience was excellent, very neat cabin, tranquil and quiet. very remote location make sure to contact the owners for direction, they are absolutely helpful. not recommend to drive the night , very narrow roads.

A Cabin in the woods

This beautiful, well appointed cabin on the river did not disappoint . Very clean, lovely views, very nice bedding and very very quiet. It was a perfect weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Beautiful cabin

We loved the cabin and its beautiful trees around it . Clean, comfortable beds , nice hot shower . Refrigerator could have been bigger .

It is quite obvious that this property is well loved. This wonderful home and environment provided an absolutely lovely backdrop for our time together in deep nature as we reconnected to our individual selves, connected with one another, and communed with sweet and precious nature. This cabin is absolutely beautiful! I could go on and on about my stay here. The owners are lovely people and you can tell that so much thought went into creating this little slice of heaven. We can't wait to come back in the summer. 15/10!!

It was wonderful to stay in this cabin. The woods and nature is beautiful. The owner was in contact and making sure everything was great for me and my family. The neighbors are very friendly and respectful. We had a great time. Thank you.

The owners had everything you would need for your stay. Just bring whatever food you like. There is a wood burning fire pit near the creek, a gas burning fire pit on the deck with a gas grill. The cabin is fully furnished. During our stay the neighbors were not home so it was very quiet and secluded. The owners were nice enough to have a binder giving directions to the National parks as well.

We had the absolute best trip at this beautiful cabin! We were celebrating our anniversary and we both agreed that this was our favorite trip we've taken yet, and we take one every year :) Meredith and Jacob are amazing hosts, so friendly, kind, and responsive! We were both thoroughly impressed at all the little details they thought of throughout the cabin, from the decor to supplying all the essentials we'd need, we truly felt like they took outstanding care of us. We had an issue with the stove malfunctioning and Jacob came out within an hour to fix it for us. Sooo kind of them!! We will absolutely be back and will be on the lookout for the next cabin they are renovating too. This location was so peaceful and relaxing, we loved being "off-the-grid" (with wifi - thank you for that haha!). Our dogs absolutely loved the cabin too! 100/10 would recommend to anyone. Thank you guys again!

The cabin is cute and cozy but it was extremely difficult to find and was 45 minutes away from any kind of store or gas station. Directions for sign in and out were never sent. It’s across from a church camp down a gravel trail, so our GPS took us to the camp’s baseball field and we drove up and down the road before we saw it listed as the house number plus a B which was confusing. No service so we couldn’t try getting on the app or calling. The road to get to/from the cabin takes about 3 minutes to go one mile bc of the winding. It was not convenient to cook or store food in the old style appliances and the dishes were dirty. They had water but you can’t use the faucet water to drink or eat. They also asked that the washer and dryer for laundry not be used except for an emergency but the laundry was part of why I had booked the house. We booked it to be close to Kings Canyon and be able to save money by cooking and packing meals but the tiny freezer and distance had us eating out a lot more. Again, it was cute but not close to Kings Canyon, gas stations, or stores. (My daughter loved it bc she felt like it was a fairy cabin and we decided if it was a place we went to for a girls weekend to read it would have been perfect; just not a great place for our family of 6 to go hiking)

Hi Hannah, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:-The cabin’s remote location is intentional for a peaceful, off-the-grid getaway—though we understand it’s not ideal for every itinerary. The homeowner personally reaches out to guests when contact info is provided to help set expectations about distance, cell service, and GPS accuracy.-Evolve does send out detailed check-in instructions via email ahead of every stay, including turn-by-turn directions since GPS often misguides guests in this area.-The water source is creek-fed and not suitable for drinking, but the homeowner stocks bottled water on-site for guest use.-Guests are welcome to use the washer and dryer, and detergent is provided. The homeowner simply asks that guests be mindful of the small-capacity washer and the home’s water conservation efforts.Thanks again, and we hope that you keep us in mind for your next relaxing escape!
