Diese wunderschöne Flucht am Chattahoochee River ist der perfekte Ort, um sich zurückzulehnen und das Leben in den Bergen zu genießen. Die luxuriöse Hütte befindet sich in privater Lage in einer exklusiven Gegend, nur 17 Minuten von der historischen Innenstadt von Helen, Ga, entfernt. Hoch oben auf dem Berg auf 1,5 Hektar Wald, mit Blick auf 150 'private Uferpromenade am Chattahoochee River.

Die zwei großen überdachten Veranden sind ein beliebter Ort, um mit Familie oder Freunden abzuhängen, ein gutes Essen zu genießen oder sich einfach zurückzulehnen und bei den raschelnden Geräuschen des Flusses zu entspannen. Auf dem Unterdeck können Sie Ihre Sorgen im großen Luxus-Whirlpool genießen. Vergessen Sie nicht, einige Marshmallows zum Braten im Innenhof der Feuerstelle mit Sitzgelegenheiten für alle mitzunehmen.

Im Inneren finden Sie allen Komfort von zu Hause. Es gibt einen atemberaubenden Felsenkamin, der einen kühlen Abend in den North Georgia Mountains abkühlen lässt. From the communication of the property manager to the beautiful scenery, cleanliness and the most comfortable beds ever. Fire pit was relaxing to hangout with the family and how close we were to the college. Wish we would have found this one last year. Hands down would stay there again if I have the opportunity to be back around Piedmont College. Thank you for everything.

I recently stayed at William Porter’s cabin and had a fantastic experience. He was friendly and accommodating, ensuring a smooth check-in process. The rooms were clean, well-appointed, and offered a beautiful view of the river. The amenities, such as the game rooms and hot tub, were well-maintained and added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. The central location made it convenient to explore nearby attractions and restaurants. I would highly recommend Mr Porter’s cabin for his excellent service and comfortable accommodations.

Our family enjoyed our time at the cabin. Our kids loved the downstairs area, walking down to the river, and playing outside. In the area, we had fun hiking and exploring nearby towns including Helen. I would recommend William and his cabin to those looking to stay in Northern GA :)

Perfect Summer Getaway!
Three moms and 6 kids (ages 9-15) in need of a mountain retreat! This home was perfect. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out, but also accomodating to having dinner and playing games together. The house was perfectly located overlooking the river. The stairs gave us plenty of exercise as we watched the turtles sunbathe each morning. We brought deer feed as suggested by the host and enjoyed watching them graze each morning and evening. The beds were AMAZING!!! The porches were perfect for reading! Less than 30 minutes from Helen and Clarkesville. Only 15 minutes to the closest Ingles. We had an incredible time and would love to visit again!!!

The Perfect Getaway
This was the perfect place to reconnect with my friends from high school who I've remained friends with for over 40 years. The owner is very friendly. Great vacation
We had a lovely stay at this cabin! Everyone enjoyed the home, property and surrounding towns. Rafting, zip lining, mini golf with swimming in area waterfalls. Home was very clean and nicely decorated. Property well maintained and lovely. Deer visited every morning. House was supplied adequately for several days and didn’t go without anything. We hope to return at a future date. Thank you Porters!

The perfect stay
This was the perfect getaway cottage on the river. The cottage was just as described. It fit my family of 5 with lots of room to spare. The owner was easily reached and always available for answers we were needing, though everything was so perfect we didn’t need any. The river was fun for fishing every morning. Helen was a quick drive to enjoy everything there. When we had a rainy day the cabin had all of the fun amenities we needed to still enjoy our day and not be bored or disappointed and the hot tub was a great way to end every night. If anyone is thinking of visiting Helen and/or surrounding areas then this is definitely the one and only place to stay; it is perfectly placed central to any town around giving you plenty of options for hikes, shopping, entertainment and food.

Spotless and Beautiful
The cabin was as advertised. It was very clean and well kept. The owners even decorated for Christmas which was perfect for our family’s Thanksgiving. We had 10 people and all of the beds were comfortable. Wonderful view of the river. We had two children there under 2 so the only downfall If anything was there were no blinds in the master bedroom for nap time, but it was great overall. Plentiful parking as well, and communication with the owner was quick and easy. 5 stars!!

Spacious, clean and convenient location
I rented this cabin as extra housing space for extended family visiting for a wedding. They all bragged on the decor and comfort of the home. Lots of space and a nice view (but a heck of a staircase) for the river. Communitation with the owner was good before and after. My only issues would be to receive written instruction on accessing the cabin, used of gas fireplace and for use of the hot tub. He wanted a phone call for us to get info for these. By the time we wanted to use the hot tub, it was 11pm so we felt it was too late to call (based on a note on the hot tub cover). But I still give this a 5star rating because its such a beautiful cabin and great location. If you like to tube or kayak, it is next door to Wildwood Outfitters (who we have gone kayaking through many times). Hoping to one day visit his other rental in St. Augustine FL, since most of my family is in Jax FL.

Amazing Trip!
The property was just as described. My family and I were in town for my niece's wedding nearby. The location could not have been more perfect for us. Everything was really close and it was so nice to come back to a quiet, comfortable space to relax and play games. Would not hesitate to stay here again if my travels send me back to the area.

Our family has vacationed in Helen since I can remember. We have always loved the mountains and all they have to offer. While we enjoy living at the beach, we evenly love visiting nature at its finest. From the incredible views, to hiking, tubing and kayaking or white water rafting down the surrounding rivers, along with antiquing and tasting the amazing variety of all the quaint surrounding restaurants.

When we decided to purchase a mountain home, our search was fun-filled, and we loved so many of the places we visited. However, as soon as we stepped on to Laura Lane, we knew this was the one. The views, the privacy and convenience to every amenity we loved growing up with was key; but what sold us, was the beautiful pure sound of the rustling water below. We are excited to share our home with you and look forward to making some new memories and some lasting friends along the way.
