Il Poggetto, Greve in Chianti, Florence and Chianti

This smart, stone-built villa sits proud atop a hill, offering captivating views of the rolling Chianti countryside. Arranged over two floors, Il Poggetto is a stylish holiday home for up to eight guests, just a few minutes’ drive from Panzano, with other Chianti towns, such as Greve, also within easy reach. The interior of this villa has lots of comfortable communal space in which to relax and dine and has been thoughtfully and subtly designed. Large windows and glazed doors flood it with light, while arches between the ground-floor rooms create a sense of space. The contemporary and the original are well-balanced, too – terracotta floors, beamed ceilings, exposed stone and antique furniture are combined with a modern colour scheme in the soft furnishings and decoration.

Step outside onto your shaded terracotta terrace, fully furnished for dining, to enjoy incredible views of the Chianti hills, a patchwork of forest, vineyards and olive groves. A little further into the gardens, is the large, private pool, surrounded by a neat poolside terrace. And no doubt guests will also enjoy the diversion of the Bocce court and on-site gym. The large gardens are well-maintained and the pool area is so inviting you won’t want to leave it. But there are other diversions for guests – a game of Bocce on the owners’ court, or a day exploring the nearby Chianti towns.



The caretakers live in a cottage just off the property, near the entrance gate, and can offer assistance if needed. There is a well-equipped fitness studio next to the main house.
