8 Spinnakers a two bedroom self catering holiday apartment located in the Pentire area of Newquay overlooking Fistral Beach, on the North Cornwall Coast.
This spacious and modern apartment offering holiday accommodation is situated on the first floor of this popular development, with its own balcony showing off Fistral Beach, sea and coastal views.
Internally, the property benefits from a comfortable open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area with two bedrooms, both giving some sea and coastal views.

FACILITIES

There is an allocated car parking space for No. 8, a wide stairwell to the first floor or a lift to the apartment. Fistral Beach is approximately a ten minute walk away and the South West Coast Path can be found directly behind the property running along to the Pentire Headland and Lewinnick Lodge pub and restaurant in one direction and towards the world renown surfing beach of Fistral and Newquay town centre in the other direction.

LOCATION

Guests can either soak up the sun on Fistral Beach close by, enjoy walking the River Gannel estuary or Pentire Headland, a round of golf on Newquay Golf Course or simply explore Newquay town and its bars, shops and restaurants all within walking distance of the apartment. In the evening it is only a short walk to the Lewinnick Lodge restaurant for a glass of wine, meal and the stunning sunset!

Open plan with four ring gas cooker, electric oven and extractor, microwave, fridge freezer, washer dryer and dishwasher. Breakfast bar with stools.

LOUNGE AND DINING

TV and DVD player, WiFi. Two, 2 seater settees, coffee table, lamp. Dining table and four chairs.

BEDROOM ONE

Zip and link single beds can made into a Superking bed. Side tables and lamps, chest of drawers, wardrobe, TV. Ensuite comprising of bath, separate shower cubicle with mains shower, WC, wash basin, Mirror and shelf.

Zip and link single beds can be made into a Superking bed. Side tables and lamps, wardrobe, chest of drawers, TV.

Lovely and spacious appartment
Nice and spacious appartment with sea view. Very close to Fistral Beach and Crantock Beach. There are several grest Bars and Restaurants around the corner (fern pit & lewinnick lodge). Supermarket 15 mins by foot.

Lovely stay and great location.
8 Spinnakers is a lovely apartment in a fantastic location on Pentire headland just south of Fistral beach. We had booked for Easter 2020 but due to Covid had to move the booking, first to 2021 and then 2022. On both occasions Self Cater Cornwall were prompt to make contact and offer the option to move at no additional cost. Email communication in advance was clear and outlined details for parking and key collection as well as contact details to deal with any issues that should arise. The apartment really is far larger than the images suggest. The living area really seems almost disproportionately large for a two bedroom apartment, with a fully equipped kitchen including oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, filter coffee machine (bring some ground coffee), crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, stoneware and Tupperware as well as a washing machine and dishwasher. There is a good sized dining table for four adults and a sitting area with two large sofas, TV with Netflix and a balcony with room for two adults to sit and enjoy the spectacular views of Fistral beach and beyond. There is also BT Wi-Fi in the apartment, I have seen reviews suggesting that it is not reliable but found it no less reliable than would normally be expected of BT and generally seemed to work well. Scones, with jam and cream as well as tea bags, coffee, sugar and a pint of milk were provided and very welcome on arrival after a long journey. There were also a few dishwasher tablets as well as washing up liquid, cleaning/disinfectant spray, soap, dishcloth and tea towel. Perfect at least as a starter if not more long lasting. The master bedroom is large with a firm but comfortable king bed (can be separated into two large singles - 6 feet wide) plenty of storage and a further TV. The en-suite is also large with separate bath and shower cubicle. The second bedroom is a good size with two slightly smaller (standard size) but comfortable single beds, cupboard, drawers and bedside tables as well as another TV. The family bathroom is again of a good size with a shower over a bath that I’d anticipate being big enough for most. Elsewhere there is further storage with an iron, ironing board, airer, hoover etc. and although we didn’t have any requirement for them I noticed a travel cot and high chair in the cupboard adjacent to the front door. The flat is on the first floor, parking immediately outside the main door and is situated approximately a 10 minute (quite steep in places and down some steps) walk from the beach, no more than a five minute drive to the town centre. You can also walk out onto the headland where there is a lovely pub/restaurant and further great views of Fistral and Crantock beaches. Next door is a hotel with a bar but this was quiet and generally the flats were all very peaceful. We had a minor issue with the thermostat while we were staying but contact with Jenny very quickly rectified the issue and it was reassuring to know that there were friendly and helpful people on hand if anything minor needed addressing as will inevitably crop up from time to time. I would happily stay here again if visiting the Newquay area and would recommend to family and friends. The only note of caution would be to particularly light sleepers or parents of young children who do not yet use clocks to identify when to get up that the blinds do not fully block out the sun (which you get more of in the evening than the morning in any case) and although this caused us no issue it may be more of an issue in the height of summer but really only to those as above. On the whole, a great choice for a place to stay, clean, tidy and in a great location with all you could want in a home away from home.
