The Space:
This charming Grade 2 Listed cottage is situated in the oldest part of Braunton, North Devon. It is located on a picturesque street and surrounded by beautiful, historic cottages that are all part of a designated conservation area. You're also located just a 5 minutes drive to Saunton Sands, one of North Devon's best beaches. Inside, the cottage has stylish interiors and plenty of homely comforts throughout. The scandi-inspired living room is spacious and retains plenty of original features, such as exposed wooden floorboards and a wooden sash window. You will also find two comfortable sofas, a 4k TV with apps and a wood-burner for those cooler nights.
At the rear of the cottage is the kitchen, which is flooded with natural light through Velux windows and has been equipped with ample amenities. There is a large range cooker and hob, as well as double sinks, washing machine, kettle, toaster and a breakfast bar for dining. From here, there is a stable door that leads out into a private, timber-clad workshop where there is plenty of room to store bikes, beach stuff, surfboards and wetsuits.
Upstairs, there is a half landing with a petite character window and a landing that leads to the the bunk room. This has full sized bunk beds that are suitable for children and teenagers. There is a deep built in wardrobe, a low quirky window, a black out blind and a Philips Hue bulb with night light feature. On the next floor up, the middle bedroom has a single bed as well as a feature window, black out blind and a large chest of drawers for storage. Whilst across the landing is the master bedroom with a comfortable king-size bed, large built in wardrobes and a sash window. The bedrooms share a bathroom with large walk in shower and toilet. Small to medium sized dogs allowed with fee of £20/dog (max 2).
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole property. Please note that the gated side entrance referred to is owned by next door and The Corn Store has a right of way to use this area to access the workshop and rear door of the property. We kindly ask that you are respectful to our neighbours and only use this to take large items to and from the workshop, e.g. surfboards etc.
Please note the garden is currently being refurbished and unfortunately out of use.
The Neighborhood:
The cottage is located on an idyllic street in the oldest part of Braunton village. The road leads down to the local pub, The Black Horse Inn, St. Brannock's Church, the River Caen. It is just a 5 minute stroll into the village, where you will find a number of great restaurants, bars and local shops. We can recommend the award winning Squires Fish & Chip Restaurant, the popular restaurant The Riverside and SQ.
Braunton is ideally located to the famous tarka trail and coastal paths as well as the Biosphere Reserve & Braunton Burrows. In under 5 minutes, you can reach the beautiful Saunton Sands - one of North Devon's best beaches. The beach is over 3 miles long, is lifeguarded throughout the year and has a cafe, surf shop and surf hire. Further along the coast, you will also find Croyde beach as well as Woolacombe and Puttsborough.
Getting Around:
To make the most of your stay, we would recommend visiting the area with a car. There are a few spaces of free road parking which can be found outside the front of the property or further down Church Street itself. There is also several other neighbouring streets that offer free unrestricted road parking.
Braunton has a main bus route, which runs along the North Devon coast and centrally into Barnstaple. You can reach Illfracombe, Appledore or Westaward Ho! in under 30-minutes. The nearest train station is in Barnstaple, and has regular trains that run to Exeter St Davids. You can change here to catch a direct train to Penzance, Bristol and London Paddington - this is around 12 minutes away from the property.

Small to medium sized dogs allowed with fee of £20/dog (max 2). On condition they are not left alone in the property and kept off beds and sofas.
