With bright and modest décor, this apartment with its en-suite bedroom and fully-equipped kitchen, and lovely wrought iron balcony outside in perfect for your trip to Lisbon! It is located in Príncipe Real. Principe Real is an attractive neighborhood that extends north of Bairro Alto and although it was once only known for its antique shops it's now slowly becoming a well-known shopping and dining area as it hosts a variety of restaurants and cafés featuring both traditionally Portuguese and international cuisines. It is also a residential neighborhood with colorful mansions, gardens, and viewpoints (miradouros) spread out throughout the area!

The apartment itself comprises of:
✔ A spacious en-suite bedroom with a comfortable queen-sized bed, a wardrobe, 2 hanging lamps & 1 side table.
✔ A bathroom with a shower, towels and toilet paper for your convenience!
✔ A fully equipped kitchen with an inlaid stove & oven, a microwave, an electric cooker, a refrigerator, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a coffee machine.
✔ A living room with a 2/3 seat sofa (which converts into a sofa bed fit for two) and a wrought-iron balcony outside, which is a remarkable element of the civil architecture in Portugal’s capital.

Schimmel im Appartement
Direkt als wir zur Tür rein sind, ist uns der muffige Geruch aufgefallen. Die Einrichtung wirkt neu aber bei genauerem Hinsehen bemerkt man sofort, dass hier nur oberflächlich geputzt wurde. Im Küchenschrank lag ein kleines totes Insekt. Im Toiletten Bereich gab es wohl mal einen Wasserschaden um den sich aber nie gekümmert wurde, da sich hier mittlerweile Riesen Schimmelflecken gebildet haben!! Absolute Gesundheitsgefährdung!! Außerdem ist auch die Wand zur Balkontür beschädigt und ebenfalls stark verschimmelt! Das alles ist auf den Bildern nicht ersichtlich und somit gehen wir von alten oder bearbeiteten Bildern aus. Wir haben nur eine Nacht anstelle der geplanten 7 Nächte dort verbracht, da jede weitere Nacht untragbar gewesen wäre und wir sind auch überhaupt nur eine Nacht geblieben, da wir leider erst gegen Mitternacht angereist sind! Die Kommunikation mit der Agentur vor Ort auf Englisch lief dann zum Glück problemlos und schnell ab! Uns wurde der vorzeitige Check out ca. 3 Stunden nach der 1. Beschwerde bestätigt und auch das Geld wurde sofort zurück überwiesen. Definitiv KEINE Weiterempfehlung für dieses Appartement aber ein Kompliment an die nette Dame von der Agentur.

Terrible check-in but decent place
Before we arrived we received a code to unlock the key. What wasn’t mentioned was that the key had a hidden extension mechanism so we were unable to get in for 30 minutes (emails and messages went unanswered during this time as we didn’t have local phone service to call) . It wasn’t until we finally cracked and asked a permanent resident of the building for assistance that we finally figure it out. She told us she hears people struggling to get in all the time which annoys the other building residents. It was a really bad first impression. Overall the place is reasonably nice and fairly clean. A weird shower meant there’s quite a bit of water damage in the bathroom area and a few weird yellow drips on the walls and pocket door but it’s not terrible. The washing machine works but there were no instructions so we had to guess at what the icons meant. (The instructions were supposed to be under the TV but there was only a warranty card for the washer). Overall the place had most of the basics you’d need but wasn’t especially thoughtful about what guests might want. (Like, why was there no hand soap!? Why is the wardrobe placed so that you can’t open the doors?!) The place is located near a cute park and a few great restaurants that are worth checking out. We were able to walk or take transit to anywhere we wanted to go pretty easily. I was thankful we had good weather so we were out of the apartment nearly the entire time. Lisbon is lovely and this place would do in a pinch.
