The Keep is set within the gorgeous grounds of Bellbrook Farm. Guests can unwind with beautiful lakes, abundant wildlife & amazing starry skies! It's a fun & sustainable studio with all the essentials including a king size bed, an enclosed garden, BBQ & a hot tub. Parking is right outside and it's 7 miles to Tiverton. The Keep is the ideal country escape away from the hustle & bustle. During your stay relax & enjoy the great scenery, local attractions and our menagerie of animals!
We love living here at Bellbrook because of the peace and quiet the area offers. We're surrounded by beautiful countryside and not much else which is perfect for us - although it's not everyone's cup of tea!
The Keep is part of our rare breed farm and is for a cosy and rustic getaway. It has everything you need for a quiet stay in the countryside and has added bonus of Bellbrook's beautiful grounds to explore. It has a separate well equipped kitchen and a small bathroom with a simple shower.
Sustainability is a priority for us and as such the furnishings are sustainably sourced and the toiletries and cleaning products are all eco friendly.
The garden has a Canadian Spa Grand Rapids hot tub which is perfect for relaxing in and watching the stars. The garden also has a kettle charcoal BBQ and is fully enclosed. Your only neighbours are our resident pet turkeys - they are very friendly and highly entertaining!
There is parking right outside and as it's all on one level inside (there is one shallow step into kitchen/bathroom area) it's great for guests with limited mobility.
The TV is wi-fi dependent and as we are rural superfast broadband is only something we can dream of! It's ok for emails and the occasional film but if wi-fi, TV and lots on devices are an essential part of your stay we don't think it would be suitable. However there is a DVD player, board games and books.
If you are coming with your child we will put a Z bed in The Keep next to the main bed. It is only suitable for children under 12. We kindly ask children are supervised at all times. There is no cycling, ball games etc on site but there is lots of wildlife for them to enjoy.
The car parking area is shared with 2 other holiday lets. As The Keep is set within the heart of our working farm you will hear the occasional tractor and see us out and about feeding the animals - though never early in the morning! If you're looking for splendid isolation we'd recommend our Lake House or our quirky static caravan, The Owlet.
There's lots of quaint Devon attractions to explore within 30 minutes drive from museums to canal barge trips and pony treks across Exmoor and as we are only 2 miles from the North Devon Link Road beautiful beaches are easy to reach as a day trip. For our foodie guests there are also several very good gastropubs within 15 minutes drive and some great farmers markets locally.
We love dogs and one small dog is most welcome (no bigger than a spaniel) and we kindly ask that they are not allowed on any furniture and must be supervised at all times.
We hope to see you soon and any questions are welcomed - we'll always give you an honest answer as we want you to have a 5* stay with us.
