A delightful, semi-detached, traditional stone cottage in the heart of the village of Rowen in the Snowdonia National Park. The whole interior has modern and airy charm, and sleeps two people in style and comfort. The spacious king-size bedroom is on the first-floor and offers a view over the lane to the small river which flows through the village. Swan cottage offers modern facilities and retains the charm of the original building. Located in the popular village of Rowen and a short distance from the famous village pub, this is the perfect location to get away from it all and enjoy the local area in comfort.
On the top floor, besides the king size bedroom there is also a large storage/dressing area. Good sized ground floor living room with smart TV and electric fire in the original fireplace. A well equipped kitchen-diner (electric hob and oven, fridge, dishwasher, utensils, crockery and cutlery). and bathroom with walk in shower. The front porch has ample space for coats and walking boots.
The cottage has Wifi and a small seating area at the front of the property. There is on-street parking, and bed linen and towels are provided.
Rowen is known as one of the most beautiful villages in the Conwy Valley and a popular starting point for walks on the hills and mountains of the area, Rowen is a village on the western slopes of the Conwy valley in the parish of Caerhun and the former County of Caernarfonshire. It lies off the B5106 road, between Tal y Bont and the Groes Inn. Buildings of Gwynedd 2009 refers to the River Roe probably following the Roman route from Caerhun to Abergwyngregyn. Rowen has won tidiest village awards several times.
There are good road links to and from Rowen and across North Wales, as well as seasonal public transport routes for tourists, and good local taxi firms. The Llew Jones no. 19 bus serves Rowen and Pontwgan with direct services to Conwy and Llanrwst.

Travel directions
Take the A55 to junction 18 and follow the sings for Conwy over Conwy Bridge. Turn left at the mini-roundabout in front of Conwy Castle onto the B5106 and continue on this road down the Conwy Valley until you pass the Groes Inn on your right. Turn right just past the Inn and continue along this lane until you reach the village of Rowen (approx. 1.8 miles). As you come around the corner and enter the village, you will see some parking on the right-hand side. Swan cottage is the second part of the stone building about 100yds further on on the right (with a swan in stained glass on the front door).
Key Arrangements The keys will be in a small locked keybox inside the porch (go through the door with the swan on it, close the door and as you face the closed door the keybox is on your left. To open it, pull down the black cover in the middle to access the combination dials. Line up the dials to read 4646, then pull down the small black knob to the left of the dials. The front of the box should drop down towards you (hinge at the bottom), revealing the keys.
