Nestled on the edge of the owner’s farmland overlooking fields, Birchwood House Farm Shepherds Hut sleeps two adults on a double sofa bed that converts to seating in the living/dining area, and bunk beds for the children. Attention to detail has really gone into this space maximising storage and comfort. There is a fantastic shower room and a lovely kitchen. There is also a lovely wood burner to snuggle up in front of. Guests can also enjoy the large garden and beautiful walks around the fields surrounding the pod.
For those wanting to travel with another family, there is also an Arthropod making it the perfect getaway for friends or families. The area has plenty of attractions for all ages being within easy reach of Paultons Park, Marwell Zoo, the cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury, and maritime history at Southampton where you can take a ferry to the Isle of Wight.
The New Forest is a short drive away, which has free roaming ponies, cattle and deer. There are 150 miles of gravel roads in the forest, perfect for cyclists and horse riders with acres of open heathland. New Forest attractions include Beaulieu Palace House, Abbey and Motor Museum, New Forest Museum and Visitors Centre, Bucklers Hard and Exbury Gardens, plus there are lots of various towns and villages to discover.
Bournemouth is renowned for its clean sandy beaches, year-round entertainment and facilities, and is within half an hour’s drive. Within an hour’s drive is the historic naval port of Portsmouth with designer shopping, waterside dining, Spinnaker Tower, The Warrior, HMS Victory and Portchester Castle.
